Great hike. The Church Rock hike was a hike out, a loop, then back, all scenic. The trail was well marked with cairns and signs. We did not try the connecting Pyramid Rock trail but will probably include it the next time we are there.

It was super tiring, I thought I was going to die climbing that thing. At the top, the winds are really strong. It almost scared the heck out of me because of how high it was. But then we saw birds!! We're were higher than the birds, it was cool. I'd definitely go here for some exercise and sight seeing :)

This is the home base of the Gallup Ceremonial which is the largest Indian gathering in Arizona New Mexico that is one of the largest gathering of Native American tribes in all of the area. They have a large cow area a completely different song and dance area and a large Rodeo Stadium along with a Convention Center. it is one of the best venues that I ever have visited for an event.
