I've used Regency for hair and nails for years and never had a problem with the girls there. I have, however, consistently had issues with one instructor - Miss Kim. She is regularly rude, dismissive, and agitated with me in scheduling appointments or upon my arrival. But it was never enough to put me off Regency until the past weekend. I went for my wedding weekend for manicures and pedicures with my sisters and future in-laws. I called months in advance to see if they would take all of us (9 total) and then called back two weeks beforehand to set up the actual appointments. I was told I was required to schedule with a teacher because there were so many of us. I very careful wrote down what each girl was receiving (mani, pedi, or both), and confirmed with the agitated instructor on the phone that one stay-at-home mother in our group would have her youngest with her (just over a year old). The person on the phone, I believe was Miss Kim, was annoyed with me, but took down the information and told me it was no problem. Upon our arrival, I soon realized just what a big problem all of it was. Miss Kim did not greet any of us with a smile, did not instruct any of us on what to do or expect (having been there before, I turned and showed girls where to sign in and look at possible nail colors). When she saw the baby she immediately told me that the baby was not allowed on the floor. Without putting up a fight, I simply said, "Ok, well one of the girls getting just a mani or just a pedi can switch places with her when they are done." and she got very huffy and said "Well you all made 1:00 appointments!" I could have easily said, "And you told me the children would be ok, but alas..." but I didn't. We just let her be huffy and my sister in law took the baby next door until someone could switch places with her. Miss Kim then switched gears and started asking about three of the girls that were running late. I very clearly and calmly told her that three girls were in a car together and were all running slightly behind schedule but that three of us were ready to go. Instead of listening to a word that came out of my mouth, she repeatedly asked about these three girls, to the point where I, in exasperation, raised my voice slightly and repeated that they were late and I couldn't force anyone to be somewhere they weren't, nor could I make them arrive any faster. They then walked through the door (5 minutes past their scheduled time). On top of all this rudeness, almost every single appointment was incorrect. Somehow, they were all entered incorrectly. She was super upset about it and didn't just brush it off and ask for me to help correct the mistake (I pulled out my cheat sheet that I had made the day I set up the appointment and could have easily helped her fix the mistake), but instead decided to get lippy with anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, one of our girls was sitting in the lobby listening to her vent about how "stupid" it was that they were incorrect and how she didn't know how it could happen because she "doesn't make mistakes." Nice to know you're so perfect Miss Kim... right... After we finished our manicures and pedicures with the girls there that were exactly worth the price we paid (we had to do some touch ups at home), Miss Kim outdid herself. We checked out and my sister in law went up to pay with tickets for herself and her older daughter. She said, clear as day, that she was paying for both and Miss Kim only rang her up for one. She thought it seemed low but since she had already told Miss KIm to charge for both she didn't argue. We went to the parking lot to make arrangements for the evening and Miss Kim came chasing us out to get payment for my niece. This would have been fine, but my sister in law was frustrated and said, "Really?!" before turning to get her wallet at which point Miss Kim had the AUDACITY to ask us all loudly, "What's her problem?" My patience broke at this point and now Regency has lost my business and hopefully anyone who reads this review.

This is a salon school if you want very high quality treatment then go to a real spa or salon. Students are here learning so if you get bad service, that was something you should have expected. Those students are learning because they want to be better. And by people critizing how they perform will not make it better. Criticism is a good thing because it shows where the student needs to improve. But do not make a student feel like they should not be there. Overall rude customers who do not appreciate learning students. I would recommend this school.
