My family has frequented this library many times and each time was pleasantly greeted and well treated, throughout the time being there. This weekend was NOT the same. We had an awful encounter with an older lady, with short white/gray curly hair and a pair of glasses. I haven't seen her there before and I hope to never see her there again. I want to forewarn any families to keep your kids away from this woman, and limit your interaction with her. She targeted my family, verbally attacked me in front of another customer about my kid using the play area meant for kids. She had an issue with him using the kid's rocking chair by the train station, saying he was a danger to others, while clearly it was only him and his older sister in the play area...(the customer approached me later, seeing the treatment, and consoled me, telling me that the librarian was a grumpy old woman and that my child was clearly not in any wrongdoing), but the harassment didn't stop there, she hovered over our books after watching us place them there and sit there waiting for the "read to a dog" event. I watched her walk to our table and instead of looking around for an owner, she wanted to immediately take them away, I had to approach her and let her know we were keeping them. Later, I went to checkout the books, she was actively participating in a customer ranting discussion with other library staff, complaining about the people who use the conference room, the teenager area, while i was handing her my books, she made a snobby remark saying she wished there was a big sign in the kids play area so the parents clean up after their children. HOW RUDE! She already tried to judge our parenting skills when we arrived about our kid using a kid's chair to sit on, now she's assuming we left the area a mess. Then to make things worse, she never unlocked the children's movies dvd cases and we have to drive back up to the library so she could unlock them. We were definitely targeted by her. Her comments, behaviors and actions were clear signs of her hatred for young kids. I wish I had confronted her there that day. She needs someone to put her in her place, I just couldn't bring myself to making a dramatic scene in front of others. This woman clearly is unhappy in life and is on a mission to spread negativity onto others. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE GRUMPY LIBRARIAN WHO TARGETS CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. Keep your kids away from her, and let her know her place when she wants to verbally attack you.

The staff is way too helpful and customer friendly specially Caleb!Too impressed with the proactiveness and cozy comfortable environment possible due to the staff.
