Purchased Frigidaire dishwasher from Astoria  store that was found to be missing the kickplate when installed. I was very pleased to learn that Becky was able to order the replacement part within a weeks time. Becky was so helpful in getting this issue resolved. Becky  exhibited a confident and professional attitude. She provided us with excellent service that was in keeping with the outstanding service we received from all the staff at the Astoria location. Brandon in sales and Austin in install are really great at what  they do and provided excellent customer service as well. I recommend this store for all appliance and home furnishings. Can't beat their selection of outstanding product brands and great prices!

If you love the excitement of buying a used car, dealing with an unscrupulous mechanic, or studying contract law, I would encourage you to shop at Roby's in Astoria. 

I was told after a defective chair was delivered that "that's normal," and the chair managed to limp along for three years before becoming almost unusable. Hoping to get a replacement part and keep my chair out of the landfill, I contacted Roby's again several times, either getting platitudes or no call back (even when I went in and left my name and number in person). Finally after several weeks, I contacted the manufacturer and received a call from Roby's within 3 days. I was told that I could not get a part, that they would have to take my chair, and that it could be several weeks to get it back. They did not tell me that labor is $80 an hour, or that by giving them my chair to look at I was committed to paying whatever they decided to charge (the work was done before I could refuse).

Mistakes happen, even in the best of businesses, but repeat business is obviously not part of Roby's business plan. I ran into a couple of employees who seemed like genuinely nice people who wanted to provide good customer service, yet they were demeaned by their co-workers and clearly had been "corrected" by management. 

I never imagined that owning furniture could be such a negative experience.

Becky was very helpful and encouraging when we were looking at chairs.  She gave positive suggestions and comparisons with other products.  Great employee.

I really appreciate the movers. They brought everything up 4 flights of stairs without complaints. The sales people knew how to stay in my budget and helped me narrow my choices.
