The floor drain in my basement was backing up pretty severely, so I called Roto-Rooter on a recommendation.  They were able to send someone out within 2 hours from when I called, and I received a call back when the tech was 20 minutes away.  Joe (tech #2475) arrived 20 minutes after that call.  He was super nice and very professional.  After some testing to ensure what needed to be done, he gave me a couple of options with prices, I picked one, and he got right to work.  The drain is now working great, and the work is guaranteed for 6 months.

One thing to know going in is that they are a bit on the pricey side.  I almost took away a star for this, but I had to remind myself that they are available 24/7, arrived within hours, and did good work, so that's what you're paying for.  If you decide to go with them check their website for a coupon; I managed to save a little bit this way.

Very please with the overall experience from the phone representative to the service man who came. He had to do quite a bit of problem solving to figure out what might be going on in our basement drain.  Very friendly and welcomed any questions I had. Clean-up was also 5 star!

Follow-up to previous post.
Service person, a master plumber, come to look at a water pipe/drain issue that has had water backing up and poor drainage in the basement sink.
Dave K. (Tech 2666) assessed we needed a new pipe installed by the main drain next to the washing machine and even further out due to large gaping cracks in the original pipes (1930 home). Dave was great in keeping me posted each step of the way. Very personable! After a whole day of jack hammering, digging, sawing pipes and re-cementing the floor, we now have updated pipe and new cement in place.  Very pleased. Thanks!

Called with a drain problem with our tub/shower on the main floor draining into the basement shower stall and over flowing to the floor and wood molding. Here within a couple of hours same day as promised. Very nice young man, Fred Tech# 4155, solved the issue with a large hair clog very quickly. Cleaned up after and was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. A service I would not hesitate to call again.

Very quick and friendly service even late a night. I like how they didn't charge an extra fee to come out late at night, was thinking of putting it off till next day but when I found out the charge is the same decided to get it done right away, 9:30pm at night. Guy arrived very quickly and was very courteous. It cost a bit more than other companies for clearing the sewage main but they checked it with a snake camera which was nice to see what the pipes looked like. It seems worth paying a bit more to get a good cleaning of the sewage main.

Josh (#4348) did a great job clearing my basement floor drain. He knew exactly what to do and gave some useful tips. I have had other companies out several times in the past and none have gotten the drain working as well as it does now.
