Runyon Canyon is one of the most popular hikes in LA, and for good reason! It's a huge outdoor dog park hike, so you'll have all sorts of furry friends joining you. If you want a hike with no other people, go elsewhere. It is big enough that you don't feel crowded though. There are constant spectacular panoramic LA views, getting better and better as you go up. You can do multiple different routes, ranging from under a mile to over 3. Go for the full 3+ for the best experience. Parking on Fuller Street is tough, but that's the side to go to. The Mulholland Drive side starts out near the top and is good for views with little hiking.

It's a fun & social hike. You can make it what you want in terms of degree of difficulty. Great views, decent amount of people and a lot of puppies and dogs! Would recommend for those that want to enjoy the Los Angeles weather, get good pic or two and want get a light to medium workout with your four legged friends in tow. It's also good for visitors that want to see LA from a different perspective and Angelenos in their natural habitat!

Awesome location. Beautiful people. Gotta love L.A. Incredibly diverse. The hike was great. Various trails. Safe. Lots of people all the time. Lots of dogs as well with responsible people cleaning up after them. Will definitely return.

Perfect short hike(Approximately 2.0miles). Three levels...easy/medium/hard. Scenic overlooks of LA city, Hollywood sign and Hollywood area. If your lucky, on a clear day you can see the ocean coast. Usually after rain(hardly ever).

so much traffic, took me an hr to get to the place, since i left at 8am which is a traffic time. Overall, a great 3miles hike, a little difficult but it doable. beautiful scenic views...would recommeded it.. easy parking and plenty of parking, however couldn't find restaurant and a lot of dog poop, which owner did not pick it up.
