Dishonest sales tactics, have no trouble lying to get you in the door for a bait and switch. I saw a car for sale online I was interested in and called to verify its availability. I was told the car was on the lot, available, for sale, and that I could setup an appointment to test drive later in the day. I should at this point mention I had just been burned by a different dealership who had told me a vehicle was available only to find out after I came in and test drove that it was in fact already sold. I was therefore very explicit in confirming this car was actually available. I explained my previous experience and that I was not interested in a different car than the one I was calling about and that I would be very unhappy to come out there only to find out the car I was coming to see was unavailable. I also asked the person I spoke with to please double check to be 100% sure it was available. He said it was, but that he would check with the sales manager and call me back. He called back a few minutes later, I missed his call, but am now quoting from his voicemail, "...Just wanted to give you a call back and let you know that I did verify and that vehicle is currently still available..." I arrived for my appointment (the bait) and it was revealed within a few minutes the car I had come to see was NOT for sale. The salesperson told me it was part of their rental fleet and he couldn't sell it to me. He was of course very eager to learn what sort of car I WAS looking for and (along with two other salespeople) present other options that were for sale (the switch). I would like to say this is the point at which with biting rhetoric and quick wit I lambasted all those involved for their lack of character and dishonesty. However, stunned with disbelief and possessing none of the personality traits that would have made this possible, I instead rambled awkwardly and incoherently for a minute before walking out.

Thanks for the mail saying "...your vehicle has been identified..." and "...for you to get an initial indication of your vehicle..." If my vehicle was identified why do I need me to enter my vehicle information on the site link you customized for me? Shouldn't you have at least some information on my vehicle since you identified it? You have all my other info filled in but the car, that was previously identified and "The reason you received this letter..." This is deceptive and dishonest. I don't make a habit of doing business with companies that search for customers via lying to them.

We had a great experience purchasing our car at Russ Darrow East thanks to our sales associate Michael Glowacki. He was knowledgeable, very helpful and low pressure, which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend him to any of our friends and family.

First I will start off by saying almost all of their 5 star reviews are clearly paid for ratings. Almost all of them say "my partner" in them and the other reviews from those people are all over the country. Clearly they didn't buy anything from Russ Darrow. One mentions about looking for a sports car but then says they are happy with their van purchase. Another mentions an SUV then has a small Pontiac car picture with it. The most obvious, one talking about their car purchase but then says the staff can teach their class about music. Heck a recent one says "took time to understand me and my event." Haha, what a joke. Your ratings sucked so you've paid a service to write fake reviews for you. Anyhow, I did go there while shopping for vehicles about 2 years ago. I tried to get them to price me exactly what I wanted knowing it would have to be ordered. The sales person tried to get me to buy a car with different options that they had on the lot. I had a list of exactly what I wanted. Then when he finally realized I wasn't going to adjust what I wanted, he offered to have a similar vehicle brought over from another location so I could drive it at least and make sure I'd like that model. I agreed and thought that was a good idea. He said he would call when it got there. Never got that call, maybe it's still on the way from 2 years ago? Their loss, instead I bought it from Don Miller, where the sales person listened to me and ended up helping me order exactly what I wanted, and never tried to push me to buy anything different then what I wanted.

My encounter at this Russ Darrow automobile lot was great. The personnel at the dealership are knowledgeable about the automobiles. My store assistant was quite helpful in explaining how every little thing in the car worked. They took the time to get to understand me and my event before trying to sell me things my spouse could not buy.
