I have to take the time and share my thoughts about this place. In the beginning of renting out my storage unit, I was happy with the overall cleanliness. However, in less than a year I have received four or more rent increases by ten dollars each. I was initially paying 228 monthly. Then two months later it went up ten dollars and I had to pay 238. Two months after that the price increased again and I had to pay 248. I JUST received another increase and now I am forced to pay 258! I will be looking for another storage unit, not to mention the male who often works at the front desk does not have any customer service skills. Like I mentioned, the only good thing about this place is the cleanliness. Also, this particular storage place closes way too early and you have to be out of the place by 6:45pm because it closes at 7pm. I will be looking for other storage units! GOOD LUCK!

Mean lady in charge here. I came in without realizing that I needed an extra $250 for a deposit in order to take the truck out, which was the whole reason I picked this place in the first place. Moving is stressful enough, so having someone talk down to you in such a condescending and bossy manner left me cold and disappointed. When I first arrived I waited about 10 minutes to even beginthe process, went to look at the unit and when we gotback to the office to fill out the paperwork I realized I didn't have my wallet with me so needed to goto the bank to get the cash directly. The lady said we don't alliw the truck to be taken out after 12 pm. I felt that since I was going to come right back and was already there for 20 mins it should be ok if I got back within the half hour. The lady started arguing with me that it shouldn't take that long to go to the bank and back! I was flabbergasted! How the heck does she know where I bank at? Maybe it was a credit union with no nearby branches. y. said well if Im back within a half hour that should be ok right? She again stated she didn't understand why I couldn't return sooner. But to be honest it wasn't any if her business anyway. She wasn't going to budge on that rule for 30 minutes past noon! With customer service like that I decided to go somewhere else. I already have a mom trying to micromanage me on dumb things so I certainly didnt need some uptight and non-flexible storage unit manager that was not friendly at all to do so as well. No thank you. Go to the Public Storage place in Pittsburg, CA. A bit if a drive, but way cheaper and super friendly and helpful staff.

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE CALL CENTER TELLS YOU. I WAS SET UP FOR A LOOK-SEE IN HAYWARD LOCATION AND ALSO SAN LEANDRO LOCATION AND THEY QUOTED ME $48 PER MONTH FOR A 4' X 10' AT THE HAYWARD LOCATION AND THEY TOLD ME THAT WAS THE PER MONTH PRICE. I WAS ALSO TOLD ABOUT A 5' X 5' IN SAN LEANDRO FOR $53 PER MONTH AND A SMALL FEE. REALITY ONCE I GOT TO THE LOCATIONS: $103 PER MONTH WITH FEE AND 50% OFF FIRST 2 MONTHS AT SAN LEANDRO. $98 PER MONTH WITH FEE AND 50% OFF FIRST MONTH. THEY ARE LIARS AND LIARS BELONG IN PRISON! THEY EVEN LIED ABOUT WHAT SPACES THEY EVEN HAD AVAILABLE. THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD ONLY 1 4x10 AVAILABLE AT ONE LOCATION AND NO 4x10's AVAILABLE AT THE SAN LEANDRO LOCATION. REALITY: THEY HAD SEVERAL 4x10's AVAILABLE IN SAN LEANDRO, AS WELL AS IN HAYWARD, AND ALSO 5X10's! I WASTED 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE ON THESE SCUM BAGS AND WILL FOREVER TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NEVER TO GO TO "SAF" STORAGE ANYTHING. THEY MUST HAVE HAD A TYPO IN MAKING THEIR NAME, D IS NEXT TO F, SAD STORAGE. NEVER GO HERE.
