They have been moving things around for a while now and its all starting to come together very nicely. My visit tonight was very surprising and I left feeling very impressed. They offer cool out of the ordinary things that most supermarkets don't and they display everything in such a way that it draws your attention. I loved it. It definitely gave the down town Safeway a run for their money. Hands down my new favorite place to shop for my groceries and more.

Safeway is the wonderfully clean and well-maintained store. Yes, the lines can be long, especially during the busy times and clerks can be sparse in the middle of the night.  But I much prefer going through the self-serve lines (2) when open...it's so much faster! And I can organize my own bags as I go.
Once in awhile I get a glitch, but a store clerk is usually at my immediate service...if not, I'm not shy raising my voice yelling, "I need help!"  As quickly as they can, someone comes to my aid to either fix the problem...or instructs me how to avoid it from happening again.
And, yes, after you finish with your purchases, (not self-check), a clerk asks if you'd like to donate to a charity, but they DO NOT badger you!  Furthermore, they use your  name when telling you, "Thank you, [Suzanne].  Have a great rest of your day!"

The bakery department and Deli are the greatest! We love the pastry selections and cakes for our parties. The fried chicken is awesome and you can call ahead your order. :-)

Good selection of quality foods at decent prices. The best deals require a Safeway club card, but with a little planning and careful shopping you can save a lot compared to their regular prices. Gas rewards are an added bonus.

Cozy atmosphere and warm employees. However, almost twice as much as other stores on many items without being a club member. $7.99 for a 12 pack of sodas. 'nuff said.
