Saguaro National Park is within the city of Tucson. Saguaro cactus grow no where else in the world. This is a very awesome+ inspiring park, completely accessible by road and walking paths. The variety of desert plants is amazing in any season. And that's just the first sight you'll enjoy. The mountains! Up close and personal!

Beautiful place. Be careful, if you drive slowly through the monument, you'll be ran off the road. Pull off to the side, there's tons of places to do so. Enjoy the sites, The saguaro filled mountains, the pristine and untouched wild life, the clean air, and the quiet. It's something to be coveted and cherished. Enjoy it.

Very interesting National Park as compared to our National Forests, but well worth the time to take a drive and walk some trails through the desert and see the many varieties of cactus and other plants. If you can do the trails 2 or 3 hours before sunset and then finish the day by watching the sunset from one of the many lookout points along the latter half of the one way drive through the park, you'll find some of the scenery to be absolutely spectacular.

An excellent experience and place to go. The rangers are very helpful and very knowledgeable. They have great presentations and there is a lot of information around the guest center. As for activity, you can do as little or as much as you like. If mobility is an issue, the center offers nice presentations and there are plenty of areas, within the park, you can drive and enjoy the Saguaros. If you are into hiking, there are many options that get you close and personal with the "stars" of the park. Overall, a great place to visit and take guests.

One of the most unique and beautiful places I've ever seen. We got to the east section of the park at sunset after a rain and the air was just phenomenal -- thick and perfumed. The saguaros framed by the sunset were beautiful. The next day we explored the larger, west section of the park and were blown away by the sheer number of cacti and the scenery. We live in the high desert in New Mexico, but this was unlike anything I've ever seen. Absolutely worth it if you're in the area.
