I've had nothing but good experience. I've brought heels to be repaired, straps on shoes to be fixed, and boots to be resoled and restained, and been very pleased.

Owner is very nice but I was quoted a price to repair 2 pairs of shoes and resole 1 pair. The 2 repair jobs were done very well, but resole was not done and he wanted $65 more dollars than what was originally quoted to perform the resole. Worst thing was he polished a pair of suede wingtips and ruined them!

This was my first time using this shoe repair store. It is out of my way to get to it - 15 minutes each way. I brought two pairs of shoes in for new heels on the 19th of October. I was told the shoes will be ready on the 27th of October. The staff was friendly. I returned on the 28th of October, a Friday, to pick up my boots and was told that they weren't ready yet. I was told I could stay and wait 30 minutes while he fixed the shoes but I told him I didn't have time to do that. I wanted the shoes for the weekend and was told he was closed on the weekend. I left. Later in the day I called and told him that I had rearranged my day to be there at 5 o'clock to pick up my boots and that I might be one minute late or so. At a 4:45 pm I called and let him know I was on my way and I was due to be there at 5 o'clock and maybe a minute or two after. He told me he closed at 5 o'clock. I reminded him that this was my second trip and asked if he might stay open until I arrive. He agreed to stay open until 5:05 p.m. I stressed all the way there, worried he'd leave before I arrived. I was able to pick up my shoes they looked great. He asked me for the originally agreed upon payment and I looked at him incredulously and asked if he might give a discount for my inconvenience. He was hesitant and finally gave me a 20% discount. I was quite disappointed that he didn't live up to the promised deadline (plus an extra day!) and didn't at all acknowledge the inconvenience for me. Advice: Call to be sure your shoes are ready in advance of when you need them. If you want timely service and someone who values your time and money, go elsewhere.

This is a dying art and it is hard to find someone who can give your old shoes new life. I will be a returning customer.
