I was just at Sierra Subaru to get a new windshield wiper and needed to kill some time because parts was closed for lunch. Having already spoken with a Subaru salesman regarding purchasing a new Outback, I decided to go over to Honda and check out the CRV's. I spotted one I liked and was trying to look through the windows while 3 salesmen were chatting together nearby. None came over to me. Next time I looked they had walked away so I wandered around for about 5 minutes and then headed back to Subaru to pick up my car. On the way I now see 4 salesmen hanging out chatting amongst themselves so I walked over and asked about a CRV brochure. One young man told me that I'd have to check it out online and then turned back to his co-workers to continue their conversation. I guess Honda doesn't need to sell cars and these salesmen don't need the money. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, or perhaps because I'm a senior but I have bought 3 out of my 4 last cars from Sierra. Perhaps I've bought the last one.

I bought a used Mazda Miata but not from Sierra (they did not have any in inventory while I was looking that matched my requirements). I wanted to buy from them from prior good experience and also since they are a business that gives back to the community (funding computers for schools, library book funds, etc). However I am writing this review about their excellent service department. I brought my 7 year old hardtop Miata in with an intermittent power roof problem. As anyone who troubleshoots (cars, IT, whatever) knows - intermittent problems are a nightmare to diagnose since you don't know when they will re-occur. James was my service coordinator and he and a mechanic tried for days to get the problem to show. Each day he providing me updates and offered to return the car or keep it at my choice, but I chose for them to continue to attempt to recreate the problem. On the 3rd day after many dozens of attempts the top finally stuck and they were able to determine it was an intermittent failure of a module that however was back-ordered by Mazda with no estimated date of re-stock currently. Since the failures were so infrequent they suggested I take the car back, and if the frequency increases I can bring it back and they will know what to order and do to repair it and they will also track when the module is back in stock. In addition to tenacity and finding the issue, frequent updates, super polite service - James even picked me up at my house after work to take me to my car after hours when their normal driver was gone. Icing on the cake was that they did not even charge me a diagnostic fee. I am so happy to know there is a great Mazda dealership nearby to support me and my Miata.
