So I got a unit at the facility in Pompano Beach,Fl on 5th ave. At the time I got the unit it was extra space storage and was unaware that they were going through a transition. I got the unit and paid my move in cost to then turn around in that same month and pay more money 2 1/2 weeks after I paid for the full month. I asked the rep Rick at the time why am I getting charged double for the same month. At first he didn’t have an answer for and had to get back to me after speaking with the manager Joe. The response I got was Smart Stop has there own charges. I tried to contact corporate and was unable to speak to anyone. It was in the system I paid for the month and they made pay again which is totally unfair. I will never recommend ANYONE to this company. They’re unprofessional and don’t understand the concept of customer service. Worst experience with a storage company and trust me I will not be back here once I move out.

I have nothing to say but great things about this place! I've been renting a unit with them for up to 3 years now and they have always been extremely professional. As well as caring. Joey LaDuke is an absolute gem for that company. Always eager to assistant and you can just tell he has a passion for helping others. Safe to say you probably won't receive better customer service else where.

This is definitely the best storage facility in South Florida.   The service is top notch.  The manager, Joey LaDuke always goes out of his way to be extremely helpful and accommodating.

I would like to acknowledge a VERY special, caring, hard-working and loyal individual that made my move and experience with a storage unit so pleasurable and stress-free!! Hats Off to Mr. Joey LaDuke, who happens to be the store manager! He goes above and beyond to give you that extra mile of customer care and because of him, my family and I will always use Extra Space Storage for any future storage needs we may have, and I will recommend it to all of my friends! To the powers-that-be>>> Give that man a raise!!!

I have been renting two units from this location for about 3 years and Joe has been very helpful and amazing in every way. Also Felix has been very nice and helpful as well. I will recommend friends to rent from extra space storage
