Girls Night out here was so memorable! Joe our waiter was the most attentive person ever! His suggestions of menu items were spot on and we never had to flag him down to put in an order for another. ANYTHING! He checked on our table regularly and kept our water glasses filled! The candied bacon.. WOW! Do not leave this establishment without trying this deliciousness! The Ribs were exceptionally delicious and tender! I haven't had BBQ this good since leaving Texas! Stop in, settle in and enjoy your dining experience!
I wanted to give Smoke, Fire, & Coal five stars, but it was just shy of the mark. The food was mostly good with a few exceptions. The meat was a little on the dry side. It seemed like it had either sat under a hot lamp for a while or been reheated. Again, it tasted good, but there's some room for improvement. The sauces were excellent. The brussel sprouts and the mac were both fantastic, but the coleslaw was kind of meh. Nice venue inside and good service.
First time here and I'm already sold. Haley, my bartender was friendly, quick, and made wonderful recommendations for my lunch and a wine pairing. Shout out to the back of house staff as well, y'all crushed this steak salad
The beef ribs are a must. Can’t pass up the Brussels sprouts and the beans with brisket, so rich and flavorful. Our server, Kenna, was the sweetest. So glad we stumbled upon this place. I can’t believe that there is not a line out the door. And bring from Texas, we know barbecue!
I have eaten Bbq all over and this was one of the top 10 places. The ribs were amazing I got the full rack and it was totally worth the extra $5. The bones pulled out clean. Great staff, friendly and fun.
It took a long time before someone came to greet us. I tried to order the Tomatillo Bloody Mary but was informed they no longer make it. I ordered the 1 meat plate with pulled pork, mac n' cheese, & peach brussels. Pulled pork to me is shredded, roasted pork. This was a bowl full of wet fatty scrap meat. 3 sauces were offered on the side; the mustard bbq was my favorite. The cheese sauce in the mac was watery and tasteless. The Brussels were the best part of my meal, shredded and crispy with hints of both sweet peach and saltiness. I got a side of corn bread, it was large, but flavorless, and didn't come with any butter or anything. All the food came out just barely warm; halfway through the meal, it was all cold. We boxed our food to heat up at home.
I’m super impressed by the service at Smoke, Fire, & Coal. They were very attentive, kind, and we’re prompt with service throughout the night. I saw a lot of people walk up to the door, look in and leave. Big mistake. The food was really good. The Beef $ Cheddar was a super good sandwich with a great bite from the horseradish sauce. The chicken tenders were DEFINITELY made from scratch and we’re some of the best I’ve had. The slaw, fries, and Brussels were also killer sides. I’ll definitely be coming back here more often.
The brisket cheddar burger was exquisite We also got pork ribs, but those were a bit dry.
We really enjoyed eating at this place. The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations for food and drinks. The menu had enough choices for most people. Even though it is a BBQ place they had amazing chicken tenders. We loved seeing and having fried okra which is a southern tradition. The meats were great too. Nice hidden place on Main Street to try.
We were excited to try another new restaurant in Bozeman. I’m sorry to report that I was terribly disappointed. First of all, it took a very long time to get our food even though we sat at a table close enough to see it sitting and waiting to be delivered. So sadly, our food was lukewarm when it arrived. Secondly, a half rack of ribs is only 3 relatively small ribs. I found this to be absolutely crazy for a $25 meal. My husbands cuatro sandwich was ok but the cheese wasn’t even melted. Sorry Bozeman. We got another dud in this one.
