First, the positives: Campground is quiet and clean and near town. And, there are some beautiful views of the mountains. However, if you want rustic type camping, this will not be the campground for you. Negatives: You likely will feel like you are camping either in a trailer park or a camping storage facility. There are many dumpy trailers being stored, which was the view we had on one side. There should be a fence or something separating the storage section from the camping section. We also had a tent site rented. Not sure what campground a previous reviewer was staying at in tent sites when he mentioned lush, green grass on the tent sites. That was NOT the case. Sites were very rocky and not desirable at all. There was a port a potty at the front which was kind of gross and certainly not appealing. For the RV sites, there did appear to be some that were better than others, but none were GREAT in my opinion but, we also prefer more rustic type camping. The restrooms were clean anytime we went there. So, overall, it's not a horrible place to stay, just know what you're renting before you get there.

Price is right. Beautiful views, great management. Showers are hot.

The staff is kind and helpful. The grounds are very well maintained. If they served coffee, I would request a sixth star.

Tent campers beware. The area in the back that looks green and inviting on the map is a depressing dirt lot covered in nails and feces. The water supply for the area is the same as used for RV clean out. We stayed 1 night and forfeited the rest of the week due to their no refund policy.

My family rented a camper trailer from Snowy Peaks August 7th for a week. I worked with Krista, Trudy and Dean for the few months leading up to the rental as our travel plans changed a few times. Every time I called they were accommodating and had notes on my reservation so that if I got a different person on the phone I did not have to explain over again. When we got to Buena Vista (beautiful town literally and translated as beautiful view!!) and Snowy Peaks, Krista was ready for us with our paperwork. Check out on the camper took 30 mins (we have have rented from American Dream Vacations in ABQ and that took 3 hours!! and was a disaster from the moment we stepped into the office lobby). So Krista and Dean helped us with check out--very fast and efficient. Camper was clean and had all of our linens in it and kitchen was well equipped. Check in went exceptionally smooth and my damage deposit was returned faster than I had expected. I would highly recommend renting a camper from Snowy Peaks. I loved working with them. The RV park looked really well kept and a lot of fun spaces for kids when we were driving around to get our camper.
