Awesome KOA! Camping spots are really nice, especially if you can snatch one of the northern spots. The scenery from here is awesome too. There's a lot to do here, such as biking, hiking, jogging, etc., since there's an extensive system of trails right next to it. The trail is pretty difficult for bikes since it's really rocky. It's pretty darned fun if you can handle it though! There's a basketball court (not too fancy, by the way), horseshoes, playground, volleyball court, and dog park. It lacks a swimming pool. 🤔 Bathrooms are clean. (Unfortunately, showers aren't the super-private ones, but that's ok. I'd imagine most people wouldn't care 😅) The people in the office seemed really nice, but there's not a whole lot of great stuff to buy; it's just the bare necessities. They have decent coffee in there though! Definitely check this campground out! It's awesome!

We rented a cabin with no bathroom. It did have electrical outlets to charge phones as well as plenty of room for 6. Beautifully made. Restrooms with shower within walking distance. Store and rec. room near by. Beautiful view of the mountains and close to Buena Vista city restaurants and shops.

Only stopped to use the dump station. It's exactly what you'd expect from a KOA. Staff was helpful and friendly, access was easy. Facilities were clean. Layout puts sites close together, some with shade tree protection. Community open and play areas. Most everything you need is on-site and in walking distance, you could easily never leave the campground. Beautiful views of the Sawatch and the Buena Vista valley. That said, it's hot and dusty in the summertime, and there's limited shade, so be prepared.

Had a very pleasant experience at the KOA. Amenities were fine, staff was knowledgeable about the area and campground was quiet and clean. We ended up coming here because all of the other campgrounds were full in the area. It was a little more pricey than other campground but they had availability and were able to get us into a good spot quickly. I'd would come back here again in the future.
