I love love love this place! It adds to the charm of downtown McKinney. Snug has side by side shops.  One is the coffee shop with baked good.  Its a wonderful place.  The other shop is a quaint wonderful breakfast and lunch restaurant.  The food is delicious.  They are open until 3 p.m.  Their soups and favorite items tend to run out early.  I take a late lunch and by 1p.m. they are usually out of the soup of the day and some of the menu items.  My suggestion is to go early because the soup of the day is usually phenomenal.  The chicken salad and pulled pork sandwich are worth your time.  The have a large drink menu.  The portion sizes are enormous.  The atmosphere is very charming.  My favorite part is the staff.  In both shops they are kind and caring.  Melanie always has a smile on her face and works hard to see that customers are happy.

It would have been five stars, but....

My mother-in-law ordered a medium hot chocolate and my wife ordered a peppermint bliss. We were more than halfway through our breakfast when my wife made her second inquiry about their drinks. People began preparing these requests when a rather dazed individual, that my wife had spotted minutes ago with two cups, was approached by my wife and delivered the two cups to our table. The sandwiches and cinnamon roll were quite large and very tasty.

I've tried a few of the items on the menu and they are good. The inside seating however is not, it is really crowded and feels a bit more claustrophobic than cozy or snug.  It is NOT wheel chair compatible unless you want to sit outside and have someone go inside to order and pay for you. You order and pay at a counter close to the back of the shop, they give you a number for your table then your food is brought out to you.  Drinks are self serve (and in a nook that is not wheelchair friendly) unless you order a fancy coffee or tea.
Overall the food is good, and the serves is good, but the shop is crowded and not easily accessible to everyone.

Food is consistently produced, absolutely delicious, large portion sizes and $ are VERY reasonable.

Do not change a thing and I will continue to be a loyal customer.  Wife & I take people/family here when they come in from out of town and they love your place, all around.  I tell lots of DFW folks about your place too and encourage them to try it and thank me later.

Delicious breakfast foods in a funky little shop on the old town square in McKinney. Get there early for curbside parking & an authentic small town feel.
