Probably by children who get paid under a dollar per hour. Yet you sell certain products for hundreds.

My mother was visiting the US for few weeks and we decided to go shopping for her. My mother does not speak English so I was peaking to her in our native tongue while being in "Soft Surroundings". We were in line for about 12 minutes so I had the chance to watch other customers's transactions. The cashiers did NOT ask any customers to show their ids along with their credit cards although one of them spent around 500 dollars and paid with his credit card. When I tried to pay the 187.48 $ with my Amex credit card, the female cashier who happens to have cashier number 602183 and be in her early sixties perhaps, asked me to show me my id. I really wanted to say to her " But you haven't asked other patrons fro their ids or is it because I have a bit of a colour and speak a foreign language? Anyway, she wasn't very friendly with me either. The store should either ID all their customers, or refrain from asking identity cards from everyone. On the bright side, my mum loved all the clothes I bought for her, and i did not want to share this unfortunate incident with her. 
I will never spend my money again in this Xenophobic store.
