Commanding sweeping views of the town, river, harbor and hills, Spicer Mansion has been a fixture in the historic Mystic community since 1853. Paying homage to the Gilded Age of refined hospitality alongside contemporary touches and uncompromising service, this luxury boutique hotel offers eight impeccably appointed guest rooms, a world-class food and beverage program, entertaining space and manicured gardens. Spicer Mansion opened in May 2016 after meticulous restoration.

The best experience ever. If you haven't had the tour and visited the speak easy, it is definitely worth it.  We had an amazing view of Mystic light up at night.  This is definitely worth checking out.  You may need to find out how to get into the speak easy because we went with a member.  The tour covered the common room and luckily one of the inn's rooms followed by the view from the widow's walk.  Overall a wonderful experience.

Be careful they charge you about $50 extra for ‘incidentals’. Which is one glas of port and the ability to drive in a BMW. It is not optional. Windows in rooms cannot be opened and the air-conditioning is not working. We had to move to another room because it was much too warm in the room in the attic while outside it was below freezing point. I can not recommend it. Too expensive for what they offer.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely mansion for a special occasion.  Everything about our stay was perfect.  The attention to detail was impressive, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves with our own chef (although, I know there were other guests)!  The food was delicious, driving the BMW was an added luxury, and enjoying the fires was the icing on the cake.  Actually, the icing on the cake was the cool speakeasy downstairs!  We will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Brian. Loved learning the history of this house. 

Service and Staff are tremendous.

Finely appointed luxurious accommodations. Gorgeous view of Mystic from the cupola. Wonderful fireplaces and comfortable couches. Really lovely!
