We were passing through Missouri during the holidays and had to stop at this place because my wife stomach started bothering her. They were fast at getting us into a room (no one else was in the waiting room at this time) which was a plus but that was the best part of our entire visit. My wife was stuck 8 times by her nurse and others while trying to get an iv and blood. Finally, they called in a nurse (Anthony) that got it done on the first try. We were then discharged with antibiotics and we continued driving home. My wife was still in pain so we stopped a few hours later in St. Louis where she had surgery to have her appendix removed.

This place is a circus. We sat in our room next to the nurses station for hours waiting for a bed for my mom and it was entertaining to say the least. Staff were really loud gossiping about other nurses and berating patients for at least an hour without any regard or respect for my sick father in his room. Apparently a nurse  recently stolen money from another nurses, a lady nurse kept saying a male nurse offered to "buy her" amongst other explicit suggestion, and to top it all off they laughed about someone having an STD. All i could think was "what a group of caring individuals" and wondered as to how they viewed my dad as a patient. Once we were taken to our room it was much the same... nurses gossiping about one another and complaining about being short handed (I wonder why) We will NEVER go to this place again!

The lab is awful. They do not go by protocol. The lab lady wore 1 glove and after she disinfected my husband's arm she touched where she cleaned with her bare hand, and before I could stop her she stuck him. Not clean. She didn't even wash her hands prior. I am very upset. Hopefully she doesn't do that to someone and give them a serious infection.

Had an emergency diabetic reaction and had to have surgery the next morning my wife had taken me there. It took a team of doctors on a Saturday morning to remove all the skin that had died and almost in my organs. Was told I was with in eight hours of dying. Spent three weeks in the hospital. I was on all three floors as well as in the ER. If anybody has knowledge of this hospital I do. Once the pain medicine started wearing off (3 days) before I knew who I was and where I was the staff was the most professional people I ever met. I had to deal with probably give doctors everyday as well as the nurses and the room cleaners. Every person I dealt with had nothing but smiles. My wife had nothing but great things to say about them while I was under medication. The rooms were cleaned everyday, the bathrooms scrubbed, and fresh supplies were brought in bye the nurses. I felt like I was in a hotel. Every time i buzzed a nurse they responded within minutes. One night we had a tornado warning and I couldn't be moved and a nurse stayed with me till the sirens stopped. I've been in other hospitals and they don't treat you like a human being. Saint Mary's did. God bless every person that helped with my care. Brian

I had a total knee replacement surgery on Oct. 5th and was moved to the Joint and Spine Institute for post surgery treatment. It was the worst experience of my life!! I’m sorry if my needing help with just about everything was an inconvenience to you, but that was YOUR JOB!! I was discharged on Oct. 7th without ever given a shower or helped to the bathroom. I have no idea what it’s like to stay in the hospital overnight, but the institute was absolutely horrible! My pulse was a little high after PT, the doctor didn’t like it and wanted me to be admitted to the hospital so that I could have stress tests done. I had EKGs done prior to the surgery, no problems. I had to fight like hell to get him to release me. This isn’t he first time that a doctor at this hospital has tried to convince me that I needed stress tests done. Ugh, what a nightmare!!
