First floor people at customer service is really nice. Cashiers are really nice and understanding. But when it comes to General books a older guy that works there can be rude to his employees.

Called their number and asked me to dial different extension for different purposes. But none of them had a real human to answer. If that's the case, why does it even list a phone number to waste other people time. I can't believe this is in Stanford :( Update after I visited the bookstore: I am increasing the rating to 4 (from original 1 star) since my experience in store purchase was pretty good. Everybody there were so nice and I found the stuff I wanted quickly with the help from store persons. So, my only complain is their phone support system.

Would not recommend buying anything online. I made a purchase assuming everything would be in stock (for overseas gifts), they charged my credit card, and then the order didn't arrive in time. I've tried calling 3 times, left messages, e-mailed twice, and no one has yet gotten back to me . I will now need to make a trip into the store just to cancel the order since I can't do it online or by phone.

Nice looking store on campus, but extremely hard to find parking ($1/30min). Surprisingly, not much in terms of textbooks/academic texts - sadly, there appears to be more souvenirs than books.

Good place to buy Stanford things. But more souvenirs and clothes than books.
