Really awful sales experience. Was told on the phone that they could get the exact car I wanted so I drove an hour and a half up there to sign a sales contract. So far so good, except for the 3-hour wait to complete the contract. But it was done and they were going to deliver my car in 3 days. Got a call 3 days later saying that the car was damaged in port, but they could get me a different colored one with fewer features for the same price. I declined. Then they said I could pay an extra $800 to have one shipped from out of state. I suggested that they should find me a replacement car, since we had a signed contract. They got very unpleasant and said no one would give me a better deal and that I was the one being unreasonable. Found the car with the same VIN as on my contract at a Nissan dealer in Port Charlotte. They had sold me a car they didn't even have. Oh and don't hold your breath waiting for that gift card they promise you when you come in. Never got mine. I recommend a drive to Port Charlotte to buy a Nissan.

I searched for a car on line and at dealerships near my home for 3 months and was getting quite frustrated. However, once I contacted Teddy Heflin at Sutherlin Nissan my whole car buying experience changed. I told Teddy what I was looking for and within a very short period of time he found exactly what I wanted at a fair price with no hassle and with the "BEST" car buying experience I have ever had. Teddy not only found the car I wanted but he educated me on how to use all of its features and delivered it to my doorstep 2 hours away from the dealership following the sale. Teddy is amazing. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Murano. The sales team was very professional and helpful through the process from start to finish. I was at another dealership previously to purchase the vehicle and they could not complete the deal. Sutherland Nissan in Vero Beach completed the deal with such professionalism and gave me the best price. I purchased a used vehicle, (non-Nissan) and found our salesman Aaron D'Amico to be awesome. Unfortunately, the details that were outside of his control did not meet expectations. Aaron was very friendly and helpful, we could not have asked for a better sales experience. I highly recommend you deal with Aaron. Now the cons: We waited a long time to get in to see the finance closer. We were very close to walking out and forgetting about the deal when we were finally called back. They apologized, for the wait, as someone had called in sick so they were running behind. Okay, understandable, but we still waited a long time, detracting from the overall experience. I thought the sales pitch for the extended warranty was a little over the top. I really didn't want an extended warranty, but left there with one anyway, the long wait and hard warranty sales pitch wore me down, so I ended up purchasing something I really didn't want. My fault, I know, but still a detractor from the overall experience. On the way home the car we had just purchased started to make a loud banging sound from the underside. I pulled over an tried to figure out what was going on, but was unable to see anything obvious. Long story short: I ended up having to visit the Service Department the next day. Being a new customer, coming in for service within the first 24-hours, I would have thought the Service Department would have wanted to demonstrate their efficient and customer-oriented operation. Instead, I found the person I first met to be completely apathetic to my circumstances. If Aaron had not interceded on my behalf, I would have been sitting there all day, as I was originally told that they would have to "fit me in" and it would be at least an hour and a half before they could even look at the car. Turned out it was a couple of loose fasteners for the under cover splash shield. I felt that this should have been caught by the Service Department when they did their inspection of the vehicle before putting in the lot. On the way home the second time, the tire low air light came on and I have had to put air in the tire every day to keep it from going flat. (There are no visible nails, or other objects puncturing the tire). I called, and even though I have the extended warranty (mentioned above) my only option is to take the vehicle back there (I live more that an hour away) for them to look at. Recalling my experience with the Service Department, I have decided just to get the tire fixed locally and pay for it out of pocket rather than deal with their Service Department again. Overall, I rated the experience as a 4, although the Service Department would get a 1 if rated as a stand-alone experience. The 4 is primarily because of Aaron. He's a super guy and I really appreciate him, but unfortunately, the things he cannot control brought the rest of our experience down.
