Tangled Up is a full service hair salon that specializes in cutting, coloring, styling, extensions, bridal hair, and waxing. We are the first hands on certified Brazilian Blowout salon in Tidewater, since 2009.

We carry, use, and love Bumble and bumble., Moroccan Oil, J Beverly Hills, and Brazilian Blowout products.
Our color lines include Eufora International, Redken, J Beverly Hills, and Pulp Riot.

My first visit, I was desperate for a good cut. I had never been to Tangled Up before, but read the reviews and had a good feeling about them. I took a chance and called for an appointment, and to my surprise, they got me in the same day. Courtney...what can I say? The girl really knows her stuff, and is as sweet as can be. Gave me the best cut I think I have ever had. I needed a change, and she listened to what I did and did not want and gave me her professional insights as to how my vision would work with the kind of hair I have. She was dead on. So when it was time for my daughter to get a cut, I told her to trust me, I know a great stylist 😊 Sure enough, my daughter loves Courtney! And her experience there was wonderful. She was treated so well and got a great cut that she loved. Everyone there is so kind and makes you feel special, like an old friend. I don't think we'll ever go anywhere else.

Katrina has done my hair twice (Brazilian Blowout). She is awesome! She does an amazing job!!

LOOK AT THAT. THAT IS MY HAIR. I'm walking around, a real live person, with that [expletive] gorgeous hair. I walked in with no appointment, never been there before, with hair that was four different colors (some box, some salon), 6" of which was gray roots. I thought I'd get a color consult and come back another day but Eve was like, "LET'S DO THIS!" Well, ok, Nikki was like "LET'S DO THIS!" and Eve was all "WTF, shut up Nikki!" But then she rolled up her sleeves and got to work (and was fun to talk with, too). At one point, I think I had 3 different processes going. BUT LOOK AT MY HAIR NOW. I'm in love. Poor Eve is probably somewhere recovering from five hours of work on one head. Was it cheap? No, it was not cheap. But I did not get cheap hair out of it. Worth. Every. Penny. You'll see what they started with, and if you know anything about coloring hair, you'll know I basically handed them the impossible. Want your color done? Go here. They'll work with you, work with your hair, and invest the time to get it done RIGHT.

I've seen 3 highly recommend Doctors and one of them was at EVMS and Y'all have done more for my hair and scalp suffering from Alopecia then the Drs have not only did my hair stop falling out it all grew back Thank You � I Love Y'all �

Courtney S. is awesome!! She actually listened to what I wanted (and didn't want) while still giving me her professional input and tips to keep my hair healthy. She knows her stuff, just has a knack for it-cuz some things can't be taught!
