I ordered food and tea online - and I was a little slow to pick it up, so the tea was no longer hot. Without asking, they automatically made me a fresh cup (even though it wasn't their fault that I was slow). 
The food was well prepared and the tea was excellent. Even though it was crowded (lunch time on a weekday), they were very efficient and moved the line quickly.

Great place for a stop when sightseeing in the White House neighborhood. Wide selection of teas and other refreshments.

Wonderful cafe for afternoon tea and pastries. Lunch is quite good but never enough food and on the expensive side.
