Amazing campground! The campground staff and park ranger on duty have been so nice and helpful! We were evacuating from Florida during hurricane Irma, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! The showers were hot, and I mean HOT... which was perfect on the colder mornings. And you are within walking distance of the gorge! We had our dog with us, and they even allow you to take them on the "rim" trails (you just cannot take them down the stairs to the waterfalls). Overall awesome experience, would definitely recommend!

overall a great place to camp. the only negative is that the camp sites are on top of eachother in some areas and makes privacy a bit hard in some sites. the bath houses and grounds were very clean and well maintained and the camp host and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Great access to trails and the beach. Please be mindful and clear the street of gravel and look around the campground to help others and pick up the bits of stray trash around, etc, its a way of paying it forward and it's helps the grounds keepers too... they so work hard and keep those bathrooms and trash cans tiddy. I also spoke with the grounds keeper too about is HAM setup for a bit SUPER nice guy!!!👍 I was also ecstatic to see the different state park peeps patrolling, she stopped and complemented me and offered me a job cleaning her house. I said yes 🏅 later a police officer came by and invited us again to the Bluegrass Festival same person from last year very nice guy. I wanted to go both times but haven't because I'm a Dad and kids need there sleep too. One note it's not quite, your close to a highway and those tractor trailers, trucks and loud bikes with open exhaust can and will wake you if you a lite sleeper in a tent.😔

We just stayed 5 nights, it was wonderful.  The staff was very helpful great park. Will stay again.

Beautiful park, clean bathrooms. Knocked off one star because spots are a little close and we could hear the cars going down the highway all night.
