Unicoi State Park is a great state park. The location boasts many attractions such as trails that vary in distance, an open field, rivers and streams to fish and zip-lines as well. Coming here is a great way to get away from the city environment. Alongside the sound of occasional cars driving by, ambient sounds are filled by the river flowing, the birds chirping and the trees rustling in the wind. Every person needs to free themselves from the four walls and a ceiling every once in a while to take in the nature that occupies the same planet, and Unicoi State Park and Lodge is a wonderful place to do so. Highly recommended.

A national experience right in our backyard.. from zip lining to archery to reptiles this place is exhilarating!! The Tavern Bar is fantastic. The staff is energetic and knowledgeable! Your stay here will connect you with nature like never before. I love this place!!

A great place to go for some peace and quiet. At lest that is what my family used it for. Half the time I didn't have cell phone service(verizon), so that just added to the quiet. There are lots of things to do there if you want. Like zip lining and archery. Could also be a romantic getaway for couples. It's like a hotel room but your own cabin.

We visited the Unicoi State Park and lodge in December. The hotel is rustic and old and would have been a very charming retreat tucked away in the mountains if there were only adults in our party. We had two kids with us. The younger one was an active crawler at tge time and wanted to go straight on the colorful carpet. But the carpet in our lodge room and all over the hotel was very dirty. As a result we did not stay in the lodge for night but returned home in the evening after having dinner at the hotel restaurant.The view from our lodge room was great though. The restaurant menu was good and they have pizza which was awesome. Will definitely revisit when my baby can walk. Overall we enjoyed the cozy dinner there.

Nice place for nature lovers. Beautiful waterfalls and variety of trees and plants adjucant to the trail. During one of our visits, We happened to notice a big snake under the viewing deck at the falls. Kids enjoy the trail and wish to go near the falls. Parking can be a problem certain times. It would be helpful to extend the weekend hours for visitors center.
