Texas de Brazil is an authentic Brazilian-American Churrascaria (steakhouse) that combines the cuisine of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas.

Story

Our story begins in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Living the cattle rancher’s life and feasting in the traditional rodizio style native to this region, one of the partners had visions of bringing this culture north to the United States. The unique concept offers diners a parade of meats and an extravagant seasonal salad area. After years of hoping and dreaming, this rodizio vision became a reality. The destination of choice was no other than the cattle man's land ... Texas. Settling in Texas, it was apt that this unique style brought from Brazil be combined with the hospitality that is indigenous to the lone star state. Combining the culture and feast of Brazil with the service and class of the states, Texas de Brazil emerged. Texas de Brazil is family owned and operated and continues to expand both domestically and internationally to bring the Brazilian Steakhouse dining experience to new and exciting geographical locations.

I work downtown Norfolk, and other smell some amazing aromas while on my way home, however it seems to be all smoke and mirrors. I decided to have birthday dinner this weekend. I originally had a reservation for 10 and half the people could not make it. Maybe they knew the service here is the worst. From the beginning I had to ask 2-3 times for everything. I needed a spoon for my soup, there were no more near the soup and my server keep forgetting. I asked for straws, A1 sauce, drink refills, all basic items but there was little to no attention to my table. I had to request the manger, as I was even left waiting when I tried to get the bill. I found out that my server was filling in for the bartender, who apparently called out. So my entire experience was ruined because my server was tending to another station instead of handling her own table. The manger did apologize- which I believe was probably an assistant , but the damages is done. Out of about 7 cuts of meat there were only two I enjoyed and I am sure that I have more items in my fridge at home than what was offered on that salad bar. What a waste of time and money. A definite birthday bust!

We used to love this place, but in our last visit, the food took forever to come to our tables, we asked for specific temperature and they didn’t pay attention to our request. We spoke to a manager, who was really nice, but by the time the brought the food out, it was too late, we have been waiting for over an hour. 
Very disappointed. Meets were extremely salty too. 
They have dropped their level of quality

The food was pretty good but Kim was our waitress and that was honestly probably the worst service I've ever experienced. I was there for a friends birthday and we all made it clear to her that's why we were there and she never said happy birthday to him. She didn't smile the entire time we were there. We ordered wine that we finished pretty quickly and were never offered another bottle. She only checked on us once for water refills. It felt like we were bothering her because we were there. After our meal we were asked if we wanted "dessert to go" as if staying there another minute was completely out of the question. Poor customer service!

We had a pleasant and enjoyable evening here! With  friends from NYC this place was put to the test. Our server, Mohammad was gracious, attentive and knowledgeable. Our friend's sib has a severe food allergy and the chef escorted him around the salad bar to show him what he could safely eat. Amazingly almost everything was fine for him and he lived the different meats! Kareem, the manager was courteous, helpful and offered a tour of the kitchen area where the meats were prepared and roasted.  An overall wonderful  experience! A true culinary delight from apps to desserts! Well done to all staff.
