The owner and staff's customer service is really just the worst. I tried buying a bike in summer 2015 - little to no help, not interested in my business. Tried getting a mountain bike winter 2017 - completely blown off and not taken seriously. Sure, they carry a nice product, but the customer service and Phoenix and Carbondale Cycles is far better (and the products might be, too). To the owner: YOU LIVE IN CARBONDALE, ILLINOIS - I DON'T CARE HOW MANY TRAILS YOU'VE BEEN ON OUT WEST OR HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN RIDING BIKES. GET THE ICEBERG OFF OF YOUR SHOULDER. SHOW CUSTOMERS RESPECT AND BE INTERESTED IN OUR BUSINESS. YOU'VE LOST ME TWICE TO YOUR COMPETITORS (WHO, PERHAPS YOU NEED REMINDING, ARE LESS THAN 200 METERS FROM YOUR SHOP [AND YOU LIVE IN A DYING, POVERTY-STRICKEN TOWN - ANY BUSINESS IS GOOD BUSINESS])

Our son was doing a trans-continental bike ride.  We joined up with him for two days.  We found that his bike needed some love.  They worked with us to get it done in a timely manner.  Thanks for that.

Also they pointed us to some handlebar tape that is now our favorite (Zipp)

We had a rear derailleur bust right at the beginning of a planned ride at Tunnel Hill. They had replacement part and installed it quick enough that we made it back for our ride. And they checked out (air pressure, brakes, chains) our other bikes while we we waited! It saved our day! Thanks Bike Surgeon Carbondale!

Great service and a local business. The price is on par with other places of this nature but I would rather give my business to nice people any day.
