This place had the potential to be amazing, but I really really dislike bugs in my drink/food. The food was really really good, but there were so many fruit flies in the place that I ended up picking several of them out of my dinner and even more out of my beer. They had fruit fly traps sitting on the bar, but they weren't helping... Yuk. In their defence they did have caps over all the liquor bottles and beer taps, so hopefully they were bug free at least until after the booze was poured?!? Most places I give poor reviews to I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and agree to give them a second chance, not this place though. I can put up with a lot of things, but bugs in my food isn't one of them. I will not be looking to return to this place.
Awesome place. Very spacious with lots of tables. They have a beautiful wrap around bar. There is plenty of music and even an outside patio area. Food is great and not to pricey.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Wonderful food. I was traveling and tried this place. Amazing food and great quantity. Very spicy though but can't complain because the taste was overwhelming. Will visit again, definitely a great spot. Food ranges from 15 to 25 dollars. It has a nice bar attached wish I could have experienced it. Worth a try.
I used to work there and eat there. I really enjoyed working with such nice people and the Boss Mateo has a heart of Gold and the food was so good and there were so many really good choices on the menu. If you have not been there, go there. A cannot say enough good things about Coconut Grove. On a five star rating I give it a 10.
So wonderful. There new menu is excellent. Now I want this for lunch . Drinks are good too. I never had Barilla tacos before, you should try them. I’m not really a taco person but I tried all of theirs that day. Can’t wait to go through the rest of the menu! Vibe: good vibes. Music can be very loud but their is seating in another room and outside where it Is quieter background music. I heard they have poker nights and stuff. So I imagine at night it can get a little roudy. I went on a Sunday afternoon.
The food was cheap and good for the price. Their service was greatly appreciated, specially after asking for the guacamole to be a little thicker since the first one came out like an avocado salsa and not thick like guacamole. Their al pastor tacos were my favorite. The hubs said the chicken and asada tacos were a little dry. I would give it another try and check out other things in their menu. I love that it’s so close to my house, so very convenient. They could do more with the place and hopefully they will after COVID-19 SiP.
Ordered Chips & Guacamole via delivery. What I received was chips with a green salsa, a small amount of avocado mixed in, and an overwhelming abundance of cilantro. Disappointing.
The best Cadillac Margarita I've had in a long time. Shout out the doorman that let me and lady friends come in while they were getting setup for their club event. Shout out to the bartender. And a shout out to the security guy that took our pic and posted on all of the TV surrounding screens.
