The Coolinary is an American infused Hungarian Gourmet Restaurant with an exciting and classy atmosphere in downtown Sarasota on Main St. on the 2nd Floor above Edy's Ice Cream Shop. 1 block from Marina Jack.

Story

The Coolinary's mission is to combine the values and traditions of American gastronomy with ever changing fresh ingredients and culinary techniques.

Our menu consists of the freshest, locally grown fruits, vegetables and homemade products including jams, chutneys, honey and cheese. Our fish, seafood and free range meat is sourced locally. It is a huge part of our core values to exclusively use GMO-free, hormone-free and no artificial ingredients in any of our products.

Coolinary qualifies as a best kept secret partly because it is in an upstairs location in downtown Sarasota.  You have to take the stairs or use the elevator and many  are unsure what they will discover once they reach the top.  Some caution is merited because a number of restaurants have failed in this location in recent years. But at last we have a restaurant worthy of our attention.  For those familiar with traditional Hungarian cuisine,  it more than meets expectations.  For those not familiar with the characteristic flavors of these eastern European specialities, it is a satisfying introduction.   Coolinary offers an enjoyable, affordable option to the  pasta, pizza and burger joints on Main Street.

This upscale, healthy restaurant is worth seeking out. It is located on the second floor on Main Street (near the west end) in Sarasota. The food was excellent. The live music was a huge plus. They have various musical 
groups -- call to check their schedule.
The service was also great! Enjoy!

I don’t even know where to begin. Tried it one time, the Buffalo mozzarella salad was tiny with hardly any tomatoes or mozzarella, the main dishes took approximately an hour to get to get to the table.       Tried it again sitting at the bar and the bar tender either forgot about us or ignored our drink order. We waited 35 minutes after we order and the bar wasn’t  even completely full. Wanted to give this neat new atmosphere a try, but disappointed with product and service.
