Stayed here for 4 nights. Awesome experience. Room was well kept. Comes with a balcony. Beautiful pool complete with a poolside bar. Fantastic cucumber mule. Laundry costs $3 to wash and $3 to dry. Fairly respectable gym.

This is a great Oasis in the middle of a busy city. The hotel is very cute, cozy, friendly and fun! The sponsored movie nights at the pool, had a street cart come in for street tacos in the evening and has a fun bar by the pool. The room was nice....very "updated/modern retro." The Brady Bunch house is down the street, and Ventura Blvd is close enough to walk to for restaurant s and shopping. They also have a free trolley that takes you back and forth from Universal Studios. We would definitely stay here again!

We picked this hotel because they offered good room rates. It is a good location for a stay in LA with visits to the Universal Studios, Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills, the Hollywood Sign, Sunset Strip and all other landmarks in LA. The rooms were fine, the facilities well maintained and the personnel was always helpful to any requests from our side. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the nearby tube station 'Universal / Studio City'. From there you can easily can go anywhere in LA with public transport. A spacious and relatively quiet place just outside the city centre with good connections to travel by car or public transport.

The Garland is very close to universal studios. The place as a whole has a nouveau retro vibe which is cool. The rooms are nice, distributed over four or five buildings. The pool is nice but often crowded. The patio restaurant has a nice vibe as well. There is a shuttle to universal. The parking lot is very crowded, and it can often be difficult to get a spot anywhere near your room. There is valet parking. The room doors offer very little nose proofing. Overall a good experience.

Really happy when stayed here big spacious rooms with a comfy big bed. The staff very helpful and friendly. There is a nice bar to get a beer which is great and the shuttle bus that brings you up and back to Universal Studios is excellent. There is a swimming pool there although we did not use it but looked fab to get into. Would go back!!
