Dairy free at the Milkshake Factory! We had chocolate and it didn't disappoint. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The place was quite clean, displays tidy. It was a pleasure to sit and relax there for a bit.
The service was amazing and fast with the shop being busy. I ordered the bananas foster sundae and my husband had the dairy free cookies and cream. For dairy free his was fantastic and mine was too.
We were visiting Pittsburgh for a Penguins game and we’re very excited that at the Milkshake Factory they have a menu item named after one of the players, Jake Guentzel! Our “Jake’s Shakes” were delicious. The ambiance here is really fun too. The part that is confusing is that the straws, spoons, and napkins are by the exit door which might not be in your line of sight if the place is crowded, not near the counter where you pick up your milkshake. It took me a minute to figure this out and we also saw some other confused customers wandering around looking for straws too.
I visited The Milkshake Factory in Pittsburgh a few months ago, and while I enjoyed my experience, I have mixed feelings about the overall quality of the milkshakes. Let me start with the positive: the milkshakes are undeniably sweet and indulgent. If you have a serious sweet tooth, then this is the place for you. The milkshakes are made with high-quality ice cream and come in a variety of flavors, from classic chocolate and vanilla to more unique options like peanut butter and jelly. The presentation is also impressive, with each milkshake topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and other toppings. After just a few sips though, I found myself feeling a bit queasy and craving something to balance out the sugar. I also noticed that some of the flavors were a bit artificial-tasting and lacked the depth of flavor that I was hoping for.
Ok, so I took my godson to get a milkshake. We'd legit been talking about going here for, like, a month. The day finally came and we rode our bicycles all the way there and got-his choice- chocolate chip cookie dough. Also my favorite. I was ready to be irritated because it was small and with the whipped cream and tip it was like $10. It was totally worth it. The tiny cookie dough bits and chocolate chips were small enough to go through the straw, and it was thick and, really, just a little bit of heaven. And it's beautiful in there! Marble table tops and all.
Quick and friendly service in a cute atmosphere! Picked up a few treats from the Milkshake Factory while exploring downtown Pittsburgh in February 2023. They not only serve milkshakes but also chocolate treats.
Delicious Milk shakes! The line was a little long and it seemed to go at a slower speed. But once you order the time to get your Milkshake is very short. My wife and I enjoyed our shakes very much. They also have a number of other chocolate items such as chocolate covered s’mores, chocolate bark, and others. I highly recommend if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Extremely happy to recently discover there are dairy-free and nut free options at the milkshake factory. However, halfway through my milkshake I thought to look up the ingredients and realized there was soy in it, which is slightly annoying due to my dietary restrictions, however, that's no fault of their own, only of mine for not thinking ahead to look. I was just so excited that there was a nut free and dairy-free option for me, and slightly overlooked the soy. Still this location is nice and clean, bright, with friendly service and easy to get to. Their selection of chocolate at the front counter isn't as much as some other locations, but there are still a few things to choose from if you wish.
Great place for a milkshake with many different choices, even dairy free which was delicious. Place was very clean and staff was very friendly. We got the smores and the dairy free peanut butter and both were great.
We treated ourselves to milkshakes from this place before we left Pittsburgh, and we were so glad we did. So delicious! My son has nut allergies and they took care to prepare his with sterilized equipment that hadn't been used to prepare any other orders. I am sensitive to lactose so I tried the dairy free cookies and cream. You would never guess it was non-dairy! My husband had a chocolate shake with whipped cream, and he said it was the best shake he had had in years. You people in Pittsburgh are so lucky! We went in the early afternoon, but it is very popular late evenings, open until 10 pm.
