Home-selling process can be frustrating,
A spark of verity found in friends and family.
In motley pictures listing and selling are confusing, 
With Mark Tompkins’s help we had clarity.

Mark worked on staging, pricing, and marketing,
We worked on moving, painting, and cleaning. 
Mark had open house and showings every week,
We received his email updates with buyer’s needs.       

Once we accepted the offer buyer had their needs,
House inspection ordered but Radon trumped destiny.
Mark had the solution and mitigation immediately,
Radon system installed reading was low and neat!

Closing day was in our mind and approaching,
Mark had a few miracle helpers on waiting. 
A lawyer, a landscaper, plus Mark’s expertise,

Mark was very professional and reliable while helping me and my husband sell our house. He always tried his best to make sure that both the sellers and buyers were satisfied. We had a tight deadline, as we were moving out of state, and Mark made sure everything was done on time. I would definitely recommend his services!

Mark did a fantastic job selling my house at the top end of my expectations.  He clearly has a thorough understanding of the Richmond market, seasonality, and the best methods to use for marketing properties.  Mark was a great help to me also when I purchased the house 18 months ago, and went above and beyond to help me with all of the details and chores that one encounters with real estate transactions and moving.  Plus he's a nice guy and has a great wife and family!

Mark earned all five of his "5-stars" rating from me.  He has several qualities that make him stand out from other realtors. In my case he got me the exact price I wanted, plus a cash deal, plus a 3-week closing window, and got all of this after my house was on the market under one week.  He knows how to find the right buyer, and the best overall offer. In my case things worked out so well that I gave Mark a nice tip and his favorite bottle of Scotch (Lagavulin, 16-year) as a special "Thank-you." 
There are four main reasons for my high-rating and for why I would recommend him without hesitation.  

1. First, Mark is very knowledgeable  and is high in customer service, and responds quickly and effectively. 
2. Second, he has a business model that can allow him to charge less, yet deliver more. You can do this only if you have a "better mousetrap" as a way to do business, and Mark has that. 
3. Third, Mark has a truly amazing eye for spotting anything that happens to be wrong with either the house you are selling or the one you are buying. In my case he spotted some small repairs that were needed, and recommended some quick landscaping, and these observations helped to sell my house in a heartbeat. 
4. Finally, Mark has excellent contractors he works with, for yard landscaping, for staging, for appraising, and for house-cleaning. I used several of the people he recommended, and they were great too.  
In my view, Mark deserves a "5+" rating, on a 5-point scale.

My wife and I had an incredible experience working with Mark Tompkins. He is extremely professional and spends a lot of time educating you on the ins-and-outs of buying a home. He is very responsive and goes the extra mile to take care of his customers. I have referred to all my friends and will continue doing so. I feel like I not only gained a life long realtor but also gained a life long friend. Thanks Mark!
