One thing that I have learned from traveling for so many years is that you learn to appreciate the small details that makes your experience great. After reading the wonderful reviews about the Woodlands Resort I decided to bring my family for the weekend. I called and asked could we have an early check-in and was immediately welcomed by a warm voice who not only welcomed me to check-in early but personally selected my room with a beautiful Golf View. She reminded me at the end of the call her name was Rae and assured me that if I needed anything they would be happy to assist me. After arriving to the front desk to check in Rae came from the back office and immediately greeted me by name. Her beautiful smile matched her kind voice as she came out to welcome me personally. Once I arrived to my spectacular room with a beautiful Golf View I saw a cookie cake that was personalized welcoming my family with a welcome card from none other Rae. I was so impressed by her commitment to making her guest feel special. In addition to the nice room and awesome amenities that are included at this resort the customer care is well above what you could ever imagine. I enjoyed my stay so much that we will be back for an extended stay this summer. Thank you so much Rae for being a Ray of Sunshine. You are definitely in the right business.

We were there for a long weekend. Well worth the price. Get the breakfast included. Great variety and it all, that I tried, tastes great. Something for everyone. Service is good and all are friendly and helpful. Probably will go back in the warmer weather to use the pools and lazy river.

rooms were clean. service was ok. Seems like more of a conference hotel than a family resort - nothing to do there with the kids esp during the off-season . When we called they said pool open but the slides and lazy river were closed and nothing else poolside was open when we were there/place was pretty empty. I don't usually post reviews but did because felt a little misled by all the 5 star reviews esp for the price. I assume these are conference goers? Maybe it was because we were there off season and were expecting something like Lost Pines or the Hill Country Hyatt for the price and resort title? No overwhelming complaints but won't necessarily be returning.

I've stayed here a few times now and every time has been better than the last. I stayed here for a company confab and everything was perfect as usual. The food, the room and services was impeccable as always. The whole place is beautiful. It sits back in the woods of The Woodlands and three scenery is very serene. There are lakes throughout the landscape and of course the green was just gorgeous. There was a lot of walking but I didn't mind because the grounds are so clean and beautiful. The weather was typical of Houston, rainy and hot but it didn't put a damper on our stay. We have a successful confab, it went off without a hitch and we will be planning to stay here in the future.

Recent guest for a conference my company held. Stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Having worked in the service and hospitality industry for 16 years, I was amazed by this property and staff. The entire staff was aggressively friendly, and always willing to help. The property itself was immaculate. Things pop out to me after managing hotels for a decade much more than the average hotel guest, and I don't know that I've ever seen a cleaner or more pristine hotel in my life. In addition, the food was exceptional for the size group we had. The only con would have related to the golf courses. I have no clue why, but the sand traps were filled with gravel that was glued together, and there was no sand. The golf ball would absolutely rocket out of the trap when it landed, which was kind of entertaining. I think my clients were ok with it. Regardless, I would highly recommend this resort for any business conference or even personal travel to the area.
