First off I would like to say that I am in Law Enforcement down in Texas and I know laws & Policies change from state to state. A relative of mine moved to Trinidad a couple of years back and she is one of the few people I would trust with my life and she is one of the most honest people I know. Since she moved to Trinidad she has been harassed by the Trinidad Police Department to the point that her own children cannot trust Police and having one as a relative doesn't help in easing their fears. Multiple bull crap citations (tickets) and Illegal search & seizures on many occasions makes me wonder do these cops get their commission from a piñata? I placed some hidden cameras in her car to cover the speedometer and microphones to record conversations with Law Enforcement encounters. If my relative was lying to me I would crush her myself however this is not the case, I have recorded a few encounters of Legal Harassment and violations of her rights and the rights of her daughter on one occasion to include undue threats of false charges against them. The Chief needs to review his staff and train his crew on the constitution of the U.S., The State of Colorado and also train them on Law & Ethics. The City of Trinidad is about to have a horrible Lawsuit brought against them and also I will be turning my findings over to the local DA, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and to the Local Media that covers Trinidad. I will also be posting the video on YouTube as soon as I get last night’s encounter added into my collection of evidence. If any of you need to file a Police Report for something see if Las Animas County Sheriffs or the State will do it due to the lack of morals at the Trinidad Police Department. I am proud to be a Police Officer! I enjoy Serving & Protecting the people of my jurisdiction. I Enforce the Laws of the United States and the laws of the Great State of Texas fairly and impartially. I am not a hypocrite, I live by what I Enforce. I wish all departments across the nation were like that. I took an Oath that I live by and will die by if called to do so!
