You may never get fast good service at tropical smoothie! The reason being, upper management wants to run the restaurant on a skeleton staff, under 14% labor, which is unheard of in the restaurant industry. I have been in the restaurant business since 1985, and I have extensive management experience, and have been doing this longer than the district manager for the area is even alive! I was their most recent General Manager, and I left, because I am worth more money, than they offer, to be a slave to their business! The restaurant requires more employees on an hourly and daily basis, than they want scheduled. so, no it is not so much that they are short staffed, as we hired 12 new people, but they only want 2 to 3 employees working a shift, when it requires at least 5 to 6 to give, fast, prompt customer service. That's what happens when you have a 37 year old millionaire owner of a 41 cafe franchise that only cares about his pocket! So, if you want to continue to get slow service, and possibly not so good smoothies, than continue to go there. I saw the big picture fast enough, because of my experience and got out of there! I tried to make the place much better, but with lack of staff, that is hard to do!
if i could give it 0 stars i would! Got it remade 2x!! and the first time was so bitter & so i went back and ask nicely if i could get it remade , & so i waited 20 mins just for African American girl to be really unprofessional with my smoothie once again and if i could describe the 2nd one, seem like a 5 year old made my smoothie. unacceptable. never coming again.
This place has gone downhill. The Rutherford location can never make a smoothie correctly, so I would come to the one in town Pleasant Valley location but the last few times I’ve gone to the one in town, they are ALWAYS out of something. From ingredients to cups today. I ordered ahead on the app, and when I got there, they gave me my smooth in 2 kids size cups. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Last time I ordered, it took almost 35 mins to get my smoothie because they didn’t have half the ingredients for my smoothie that I ordered on the app as well. Again, it would have been nice to know this before hand. But once you pay & they have your money already, they don’t care about you being inconvenienced. Not sure how they continue to run a business when they aren’t even able to keep simple things such as cups stocked up. Both Tropical Smoothie locations in Winchester have gone way downhill recently. Don’t recommend!
I have eaten at this place before. However this last time it took a great deal of time for my smoothie to come out. My food was out a good 10 minutes before my smoothie came out. I ended up eating cold food. That's why they got the low rating this time.
I waited a half hour for a half cooked sandwich and a watery smoothie. Very disappointed. This isn’t the first issue I have had with this item in particular
I don’t write reviews and I don’t know if management actually reads these, but the service and smoothies here are honestly terrible. It’s kind of been hit or miss on whether or not you get a decent smoothie - so for the chance that it MIGHT be decent, I kept going, but I don’t think I can anymore. Not to mention the wait is incredibly long even when you’re the only person there. It’s disappointing because I used to really love these smoothies. Please do something about this and train your employees better.
They're understaffed and it's hurting them. My smoothie was not as good as it could have been and I saw my attendant "cut corners" instead of blend it twice like I had requested. I know how that smoothie is best made... I've been ordering it since these places opened! Very disappointed!
Troy was great and made my experience wonderful. I have never experience customer service so great until I met Troy! He was polite and made everything perfect? Everyone needs to experience Troy as a worker!
Haven't been to one in a while but everything was great. Food was hot and delicious based on what I ordered jerk style chicken wrap and the smoothie was great as well. Just under $14 with an apple lol
The people who work here are the laziest people I have ever met. Went through drive through at night and no one else there, 3 people working told me I couldn't order food because they were "understaffed" and they were putting on weird voices and essentially just joking around the whole time. Went to the other local location and only had one guy working there and he made my order. Ridiculous honestly lazy college kids.
