Always a great experience. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Great selection of traditional Irish dishes and beverages. Reuben and Irish onion soup are a must try! Loved the rustic decor, and half of the building includes a lounge area that typically offers live music some evenings. Outdoor space is amazing on a nice day out. Staff is always very friendly. Highly recommend to try it out next time you're in old town Winchester!
Went out to dinner on a Sunday night and it was not at all busy. We got to choose our own table. Our waitress came right to us and got us water and drinks. Since she couldn't tell my husband about a beer, she offered him a little glass so he could taste it. For appetizer we got the soda bread which tasted pretty good. And came with butter. Our entrees were Bangers & Mash and Lizzys cottage pie. Both were very good and came out quick. There's also outside seating available. The bathrooms were clean. The staff seemed nice. I'd come back and try something else to eat.
Guinness Stew was amazing. My daughter got the fish and chips and it did not disappoint. Their menu is changing, so wait a week before going. The appetizer of wings was really good. If you order the Jersey fries, ask that they use shredded cheese and no nacho cheese.
LOVE Jada, the bartender! Nice, friendly, and also made some real good drinks! Would come back again for sure, and get some more drinks from her: also have some yummy scrambled eggs
Ellies Irish Pub in Winchester VA is fantastic! The chef, servers, hostess, atmosphere, food OMG, Irish Onion Soup! - delish! - everything is awesome. A place for the Irish & Irish at heart. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a beer or great meal with lots of happy people. They have an event venue next door just as fun - The Monument - where they have live entertainment, comedy and St Paddys Day party! Im not paid for this review, Im just a happy customer who found a new fav restaurant. Ellies Irish Pub
Excellent customer service. Friendly and welcoming staff. My family 14 people had my birthday dinner here. We all loved the service and place. Lots of private space.Dine in: Yes
Waitress was friendly and attentive at the beginning but we had to get another server to send her over to order desserts. Which btw were not worth the price. She was too busy talking at the bar. She didn't bother asking my husband how he wanted his hamburger and it came out way overdone. But the bangers and mash were to die for and the beer is good.
Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Loved the outside seating. Our server Linsey was awesome. We had the burger with fries and the steak and cheese sub with homemade chips. Both were excellent! The price was $14 for each. For dessert we got the carrot cake which was amazing! Will definitely go back. I wish I had gotten a picture of the steak and cheese sub before we devoured it.
Absolutely loved this place. Shepards Pie was amazing, as was the Irish coffee and overall atmosphere. Our server, Crystal was above and beyond what I come to expect. 100% will return again.Food: 5/5
