We stayed here for nine nights in August.  The campground is spotless.  It is, by far, the cleanest campground that we have ever stayed at.  Yes, they have rules.  The rules ensure that everyone can have an enjoyable camping experience. The rules are not ridiculous.  We camped with two children (12, 8) and never once had any issues.  The owners are friendly and the little lady at the desk was always pleasant.  The campground is close to town and is right across the street from a very nice grocery store.  Twin Creek also has a trolley stop on site, so if you don't feel like driving into town, the trolley is always an option.  We loved camping here and will certainly return.

Camping the way it was meant to be. The only way one could possibly write a bad review is if they have disruptive children or pets. The owners ensure a nice quiet stay. This place is immaculately kept. All concrete pads and paved roads. Bath house is spotless. Owners are wonderful folks. We have stayed there countless times over the last 5 years and will continue.

Not sure why others negatively rate this campground. It is very clean well kept and the owners are very nice. They do have strict rules but that is why the place is so nice. If you want to act like hooligans and party into the wee hours and be belligerent, this is not your campground. If you want a clean well kept respectable place to stay that's family friendly then this is your place. PS the cleanliness of the bathroom and shower facilities are second to none. 
We have stayed here more than 10 times and I highly recommend it for your Gatlinburg stay.

Good WIFI.. The old ladies in the office are unpleasant to deal with. My wife said the man was nice. Hookups acceptable pull through sites are considered two sites otherwise small sites. Okay not too dirty not the nicest place we stay. Compared to the Townsend KOA(which is our favorite summer spot-this was a Thanks Giving stay) they've got nothing to brag about. I doubt we will be back. If your goal is to be close but out of Gatlinburg and just use as a anchor point probably a good place for you. I get the vibe they are oddly strict with silly rules. Hey its their place so whatever. Two dogs per site.. Even if you book two sites they think its still two dogs.. Whatever..
