This is a super cool family friendly place that's the perfect option for when you can't decide where to go for dinner! There are several different market style food stands with lots of delicious options. I really love places like this where you get a sampling of the local food scene all in one place! There is also plenty of outdoor seating and it wasn't overwhelmingly busy when we went on a weeknight. Overall I would highly recommend this place based on the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of options, along with its convenient location! My husband and I tried TaKorea and both got bowls. They were bursting with a fusion of flavors but the meat could have been a little more warm for my personal preferences.

It's a modern take on a public market. There about 20 stalls to choose from. I have only been here on weekends when it is unfortunately a madhouse. Go on a weekday. I would say it's about a 15 minute wait for the more crowded establishments. There is seating inside and some outdoors. The food was tasty like everything else in dc once it becomes hip it's not enjoyable

This place has a huge variety shops with delicious food, fresh produce, and other things you might not even know you need. Go grab some pizza, crepes, grilled cheese, and/or cold brew and bring it outside and eat/drink with friends and your dog, if you want. They often have events, food trucks and live music. My wife and I go at least once a week.

If you visit DC, you must visit Union Market. Since it was our first time, we shared dishes from each restaurant and everything was delicious. The diversity of cultures represented here is amazing. Lots of shops nearby. Don't let the alleys, dumpsters and graffiti distracted you. We stumbled upon this gem by mistake and it became a highlight of our trip.

I like the concept of this place, but many of the restaurants and booths don't open until 11am. Some of the breakfast places are open, but they leave something to be desired as far as variety and portion size compared to price. I tried the toast place and paid $3 for a tiny slice of cinnamon toast, I was expecting at least a thicker cut and a decent size, no it came out to be a slice like you'd get at the grocery store. The smoked salmon on toast was good and fairly filling, but I still don't know if it justified the price...I think this would be a fun place to go get a drink at night and try different things, it's like a night market
