United Campground is a family owned and operated RV Park and Campground, on the banks of the Animas River. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad runs right through the park, and we are located right on the Trolly line to town. We offer 100+ level sites with water, electricity and sewer, and 90 tent sites with grass, free hot showers for registered guests, general store and gift shop, and we are pet friendly. With plenty of shade trees, this place is perfect to get away, relax and enjoy the views, while being close to town and all Durango has to offer.

Good RV park. The sites are a little on the small size. The staff are nice and the facilities are clean. It is conveniently located for catching the trolley into downtown Durango. It is nice to not need to worry about finding a parking spot.

This was a LOVELY campground. We had a pretty nice 90's model camper and were by far the ugliest camper there 😂 The pool was great and we had a great stay Kids will love the train coming through!

Great place to stay, especially if you like steam trains. They run thru the campground. Shuttle bus stop just across the street, makes it easy to get down town and to train station. One draw back is they do not accept credit cards.

Very nice campground. Well maintained & clean. Friendly staff. Silverton train goes right through camp. Twice in the morning & twice at dinner time. Fun to wave at the passengers. Pull through sites are very tight. Great location out of town with short drive into town & traffic.

The grass tent sites were comfortable. It is in city limits so campfires are not allowed. The showers and bathrooms very quite clean. Laundry was in good working condition. The Narrow Gauge runs right thru the campground. So if you like the train or have kids that do, it's great to have it whistle past you 4 times a day (twice in AM and again in PM upon return). The staff is helpful, but uptight. They are sticklers for rules about parking and set up and where your dog can be walked. Don't stay here if you want to be able to just run all over the place.
