Walked in at 4: 59 because I couldn't get there any sooner. Apparently the doors are locked before they close (5: 00) I understand you want to go home at 5, but your job is to be open until then. If you have to stay 5 minutes late then oh well. That's your job.

After forwarding my mail to my new address, Washington Post office let my packages sit in there facility for a week without forwarding to new address. I tracked them & had 2 employees assure me they would be sent straight to me, they didn’t know why they were sitting in their office. Only to find out a week later, they returned them to the sender & im stuck paying reshipment fees for 4 packages. The staff admitted it was their mistake & will do nothing to help me nor have even apologized.

Worst post office I've ever encountered !!! 1st incident I had outgoing mail, but being that we live in town there is no flag located on mail box. Carrier failed to pick it up, and when I called the manager Myra to report it I was to that the carriers are not quote "obligated" to pick up out going mail unless they stop to deliver incoming mail !!📫 2nd incident, carrier failed to deliver expected package, when i contacted there facility they had the carrier return with my parcel for correct delivery !! 📦 3rd incident was a charm 😠 This time my package was at the Washington facility for 5 days as per tracking information stated. I contacted several times for several days and received various excuses and explanations as to what happened, on day of delivery the carrier once again failed to deliver. I contacted Myra the manager once again to be informed that it was delivered to my argument, it was not. The carrier actually delivered it to our neighbors, thank goodness we have good neighbors whom brought me my package !!!! Since I had occurred prior issues with this post office and carrier, I even provided a special delivery note on my shipping label to include that it was a YELLOW HOUSE with a GREEN DOOR !!! A major case of Incompetence and illiteracy.....

I noticed another complaint recently and Im going to say ditto about the rudeness and lack of service from my rural carrier. No problems with the people inside but the carriers, another story. I did read up they dont have to pick up your packages and mine literally complained to me everytime he had to deliver anything he couldnt cram in the box. Lastly Ive been getting alot of junk mail--not my fault- and called me over to tell me I wasnt checking my box often enough and then demanded I raise it or he wasn't going to deliver anymore. My box us just ar the required 42 inches as I measure and several of my neighbors are the same as mine; he was clearly being retaliatory and I never even got a courtesy call from the PM who apparently is so lazy she doesn't investigate anything a carrier tells her. So Im not getting any more mail until I raise my box from 42 to 46 inches; Il sure he would rather have complained about the box size but there ARE no regs that can require you to get nonstandard. Hes a douchebag and the Postmaster is a lazy federal employee that answers to none of us, for sure. One phone called left message with a Steele man, did not get a return call. Sent an email last week, still waiting. Obviously that federal pay and benefits doesn't include the Post Master having to engage in any customer service herself. Basically you've got the rural carriers here managing themselves and their customers. Additionally I had signed up for Amazon Prime and supposedly my order had been delivered already at 48 hours. Amazon finally found it had been received by the Washington Post Office! Who then delivered it SEVEN DAYS LATER. Why? I wonder myself. But yes I cancelled Amazon Prime ASAP.
