This post office is not a good one. They delivered my package that is important to a different company in town and the man I talked to was rude and telling me to be patient. He was not friendly at all. All because of the incompetency of this post office here in Elmwood Park, NJ, I have been waiting since December 6, 2017 when they said my package was delivered, which was just not to my house but some company in town. Now I have to wait even longer for this important package because the man at the post office said there is nothing they could do.

I placed an important order through Amazon Prime that was being delivered through the USPS. Now due to the snow I figured the delivery would be a little late, but not too late since it was still in Teterboro. The package was supposed to arrive on a thursday, the delay then stated friday but for some reason it changed to saturday. Saturday was my nephews first birthday party and some of the decorations were in that package. I called at 7am Saturday asking if I can pick up the package at the post office, a man answered and rudely stated that the package is on the truck, he can not take it off the truck, and that I have to wait it out. A good employee wouldve asked for a tracking number or address it was going to because maybe it wasnt on the truck. Now the building it was going to is closed during weekends but the man said to wait for this package at the usual delivery time. Because the package was vital to the party I was going to wait in the parking lot for the mailman. Now within an hour the tracking updated and said delivery attempt made and I would have to wait until monday. The problem I had with that is: the regular delivery time is 11am-1pm, the so called attempt was made at 9am. I called the office again and the rude man answered, I asked if I can pick up the package at the end of the mailmans route, meet them at the next stop, or wait it out at the post office. This so called employee said no, they do not do that, he said the office closes at 2:30pm and that the mailman doesnt come back until after 4pm and I couldnt pick it up. The party was lacking in decorations, the babys mother was so stressed she refused the photographer and was unhappy with the set up we had to scramble to replace, all to find out that this so called delivery attempt was "automated" and the guy never checked for my package. It was the horrible service and lack of willing to help that surprised me.

Went to this post office several times and never had any problems. Staff is okay and my packages (those shipped and received) are never lost and arrive in a timely manner.

The delivery service from the facility is one of the worst I have experienced to date. My mail has either been delivered to the wrong box or misplaced on at least 4 different occasions. I have told any one who is sending me packages or mail to send it by any other service except the united states postal service. Something should be done to improve service at this facility; it is disgraceful. Unfortunately, there is no rating less than 1 star to give.

Terrible at delivering package, they lose them, deliver them to the wrong house. I lose 2 out of 10 packages.
