Just sent my associate in to mail a package. Attendant walked away with 2 customers at the counter. After they rang the bell repeatedly, and calling the attendant verbally no answer. So she walked out. I insisted that she call the postmaster to report. When we called , the attendant answered the phone and was quite indignant and defensive. She insisted that she was merely in the back and that ringing the bell would get her attention. Obviously not! She claims she came from the back once my associate was leaving. It is no wonder that the postal service is suffering given the low level of customer service and the poor attitudes of those employed. Can't say that this is a system wide issue, but surely one that is dependent on neighborhood demographics. Further, when we go to Staples to mail items, the service is efficient and thorough. Left that post office to go to another. Attendant was busy, but did acknowledge my associate. Another clerk came to relieve her and was flippant and seemed frustrated. Apparently she could not identify the zip code. Insisted it was wrong and that we may not be able to ship the package as labeled. Asked the clerk to look the address up and given it is the post office, the zip should come up. Perhaps it was too much like work, but she complied and we were able to mail. She left us to change the zip code on the package and was vague about next steps. Rude and bored. ,

On yesterday, the oldest woman in which we have seen working at Red Oak, GA P.O, known as baptiste. H., showed that she was without any customer service training and has no respect for her job or herself. She is over the office and they made a mistake and keyed a box which she herself unlocked on the date of payment. (All can be proven) When she was asked about non entry into the box, she YELLED, ignorantly saying to the customer, don't get "no" attitude", plus much more. (Notice the double negative). We have seen her in negative action for many years, and even as recent as approximated 4 weeks ago with several young men, who did speak intelligently to her, but yesterday, took the cake. She is in need of a total re-haul and updated customer service training skills. She never has on a uniform, since she works in a somewhat economically disadvantage area, she wants to show her clothing, what, to suggest she is above the clientele in which she serves? The last two beautiful young lady's always professionally dressed, have been run away, and rumor has it, that it is because of her nasty way of handling staff and customers. Depriving customers of fair handling because of their educational disadvantages. Let's face it, in what arena would a "worker" yelled and loudly and continue spewing inappropriate false rhetoric at a customer. This type of service should not be tolerated anywhere. and her remembrance of what serving customers should be, is "no more". She has no appreciation for her job and it seems "someone" could appreciate having a job. Something needs to be done about this. It is unfair to the community and the individuals who have had to put up with this terrible behavior and pay the United States Post Office at the same time. Thanks!

I sent a VERY important Certified letter from this Georgia location to an address in Georgia. I was told that it would take 2days to arrive... that was literally a WEEK ago! Why was the letter sent to North Metro Ga; THEN to Knoxville, Tennessee; THEN to Pigeon Force, Tennessee; THEN BACK to North Metro Ga ??? Incompetence at it's finest.

Stop allowing customers to park in front of the mailbox drop off. It's frustrating . It defeats the purpose for having the mail deposit box outside!
