Thoroughly disappointed with University Lawn Equipment. I took my weedwhipper in for repair - waited 3 weeks, got it back and it worked one time! I do not recommend them for any repair job.

One of the oldest Simplicity Dealers in Michigan if not the oldest and in my opinion the best. My Dad started doing business with them back in the mid 50's when they were owned by someone else. I purchased my first new Simplicity Landlord back in 1964 and it still runs great today. I am now 71 years old and still used my Landlord but I decided to restore it. Any part that I have needed for its drive line has been available at University Lawn and if it had to be rebuilt such as its engine they did a great job. Two years ago after deciding to restore my Landlord I purchased my 2014 Broadmoor from them. The owner is a super nice guy and I am not saying so just because I feel he gave me a good price but he did. When ever I call or go to their dealer they are so personal and busy but with long term customers and always very polite. It's not a huge business but they always have a nice inventory of Simplicity tractors and other Simplicity products. Their mechanics are top notch and have always done a good job wether on my old Landlord or my newer Broadmoor. Very friendly atmosphere from their employees and I highly recommend them to everyone. My Son Inlaw also purchased his 1999 Broadmoor from them also and he also has been very satisfied with them also. I know this is a long review but I try to cover most all the basics when writing one for whom ever it's for. Thank You

Joel has been very kind and fair in helping me. I have made some major purchases and have had to have repairs done. He is as honest, as helpful, and as knowledgeable as anyone in the lawn and snow equipment business.. I strongly urge you to visit him for your next purchase, maintenance, or repair. You will not be disappointed.

I have made purchases on the past but don't know whats wrong with them lately, maybe they have new people answering their phones but their Customer Service is extremely POOR! i have called twice to quote 2 different things quoted and person cannot give a straight answer whatsoever, couldn't answer what battery i needed for my tractor or the cost for a clutch repair, couldn't find a part number, DIDN'T EVEN TRY!, i could feel the blind stare across the phone line, only answer i could get from him is bring the tractor down and we will let you know, come on... ITS A TRACTOR!!! cant just haul it around like its a bag of toys! advice to the owner, find someone that cares! and is willing to do it's best to service the customer...

Very disappointed in my experience with university lawn equipment service department. I took a push mower in that was stalling, they charged me $80 to sharpen the blades and look it over and said it runs fine. I picked it up, brought it home and it stalled in the first 2 minutes. I took it back to them the next day, they looked it over and told me they can not find anything wrong. So once again I took it back home and it stalled in the first 2 minutes. I decided to take it to another place and in 30 minutes the repair man diagnosed and repaired the issue with the carburator while I watched. He even replaced the plug and had a spare knob that had rattled off long ago and also adjusted the idle for a more even run. Mower runs great now. I wish I had not gone to University because I had to pay twice the cost and transport the mower 3 times to eventually fix the issue ultimately with another service
