I didn’t realize that this store has resale and boutique items. So much cute stuff! Really happy with my purchases. The staff were really nice and seemed happy to work there. I got to meet the manager, Mary, and she was really cool, so I’m surprised that someone would have written that weird review about employees and handbags. Will definitely be back :)

One of my favorite places to shop! I find so many cute items every time I come in. Shoes, purses, jewelry, & clothes at the best prices! I trade in my clothes to take in store credit to put towards my purchase.

Deals, Deals!! You can find great quality clothing here for men, woman,  and teens. My family loves to shop here to find a great deal and save money. You can also sell your clothing here for a store credit or cash money. Great friendly store asst.

Dear MANAGER OF UPTOWN CHEAPSKATE IN NATIONAL HILLS. Since you think I made her quit, let’s see what others think. You manage a store. Tell the employees they can buy what ever they want. Which is bending your store policy about new items coming in the store. An employee buys a purse. You get in your feelings and tell her to return it. Ok. She returns it and then you tell her NO ONE CAN BUY IT FOR HER. Cause you know someone (her parents) would come in and buy it. That’s saying a lot. You are turning down money. Then telling a customer NOT AN EMPLOYEE, that they can’t buy an item. Mind you other EMPLOYEES CAN BUT WHATEVER AND WHENEVER WITH NO QUESTION. Now being a biracial family it bothers me to think color had something to do with this situation but it seems that UPTOWN CHEAPSKATE has a double standard on its employees. You pick and choose what days you feel like the rules don’t apply and then throw a tantrum cause one of your favorites apparently wanted the item first. So she ran a told like the good little employee so you could get it back for her. 
       Now, yes my daughter quit. Yes she quit without notice. No it was not me who made her quit. We raised her to understand when things are not equal in a situation to remove herself from it and we give  her the freedom to make her own decisions. We also provide a option for her to never have to deal with this kind of treatment on ANYONES job. That’s what REAL (GOOD) parents do. So since you wanted to point a finger. Now EVERYONE WILL KNOW THAT YOU SHOWED YOUR TRUE COLORS. Also WE NEVER WAS RUDE TO ANYONE. AND I WANT TO THANK AMBER FOR BEING ONE OF THE SWEETEST RESPRESENTIVES YOU HAVE IN YOUR STORE. SHE DESERVES ALL THE PRAISE FOR HOW SHE HANDLES CUSTOMERS. 
    Just so you know we never had a problem with this store. Spent a lot of money here not because our daughter worked her, but because we liked the people and atmosphere until now. I would rather you shown your hand from the beginning. But it’s cool. Everything you sell can be purchased at another store. And I’m sure they won’t turn away money from anyone. I pray the owner of Uptown Cheapskates takes the time to read reviews and question some of the ethics being operated in their establishments. God Bless. 
FYI....this review would have never happened if you didn’t tell my daughter I feel like you are quiting because of your mother. Mary thank yourself for that. There are better ways to discuss things with people without bringing others into it.
