I love this post Office and I think Tiara is awesome. She works quickly and efficiently and she's a great multi Tasker. Yes, it's a small post Office but it has everything you might need including postal boxes. I have gone to full service post offices in Arizona with 4 or 5 clerks open and have waited 20 minutes in line. Tiara makes good use of her time. Thank you Tiara. Donna
Our USPS in valpo does a great job. Our mail carrier, John does a superlative job. He brings our Chocolate Lab biscuits every day and we bring his puppy biscuits. John is the coolest, kindest most reliable mail carrier I've ever had.
First time going to this post office since moving here five months ago, and it will be my last time. I would expect better from a college town. The place is so ridiculously small, outdated, and didn’t even appear clean or organized. There was no social distancing of 6’ whatsoever, the only employee at the window wasn’t wearing a mask, and her main concern was to keep the door closed because she was cold. Between people waiting in line right on top of each other, the extremely small confines, and the unprofessionalism of the employee, I’ll drive to another town that has a post office which can accommodate the number of people who reside there. Absolutely unacceptable for Valparaiso’s size as a town!
Nice people and good service. Although lines get long at times, usually they move fairly fast. Clerks have good attitudes and really go out of their way to be helpful. Well worth the drive. Avoid the main post office at 2700 Valparaiso Street at all cost. It's the post office from hell.
Always great service, the lady is so nice. YES its small and it does take a while to stand in line but she is one person working .
It used to take just a few minutes; however lately not only is it difficult to find a parking spot, but it takes at least 1/2 hour to complete a transaction. I’ve had to leave a few times because I either had my pets in the car or other appts to go to. On the upside, while standing in line, I’ve seen many people express kindnesses to others and converse with strangers in a friendly manner.
I tried to mail 1/2 of a taximerd Labrador to my great uncle in California but the extremely rude postal employee said it would have to be the whole dog. She also did a poor job explaining why stamp glue can't be used to reattach the two halves, so I guess I'm mailing two parts of one decorative stuffed canine to a very confused coast guard. One star, do not recomend taxidermy.
The lady at the desk was so rude! there was a elderly woman trying to semd back a package an she didnt put her full first name on package an the cashier started yelling at her an told her u have to put your full name and i can't read your writing so noone else will either you need to rewrite it so tbis old lady tried to move ot of line to rewrite it and she said no you will stand here an fo it while i finish rhis why are you being so difficult woman! I seriously stood there stunned!
If the lady behind the counter hates her job so much, why not quit? No accountability for rude and unprofessional employees of the USPS. Gotta love the job security.
I travel a lot for the Military so I am gone for weeks to months at a time. I live in an apartment so I have a small mailbox. Who ever delivers the mail to my area is very unprofessional and just does not give a damn about peoples mail. he/she will JAM AND DESTROY mail to fit it inside the box when a common sense person would just take it to the office. However today was the final straw, when I returned from work I walked passed the mailbox and noticed another resident who lives here had mail sitting on top of the box unsecured for anyone to grab and it was his new plate for his vehicle from the BMV....... please please read this cause this needs to stop. If someone who had bad intentions got a hold of that plate and put it on their vehicle and conducted a crime, guess where the police are going first.... this residents apartment and taking him in for questioning as to why his plate was at the scene. Please re train or get drivers who care about the people they are delivering precious items to.
