Story

V.E.T. Care Hospital and Pet Resort has been serving the pet parents of Fort Worth, TX for 19 years. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. Stop by to experience firsthand our commitment to first class veterinary care!

To better serve our clients, we are closed Mondays from 2-3pm for weekly staff meetings.

As of June 9th, 2014, we are no longer open on Sundays. For after hours emergencies, please contact Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital at 817-447-9194.

We started taking our animals to Dr. Gibbs when our Vet I have used for over 30 years started charging a fortune and not being as thorough when doing exams.  I will never take my pets anywhere else.  When one of our cats died in our home, we called to see how much they would charge for a cremation.  I can't remember the cost at this time, but I know it was so low that we actually had that much in our wallets combined to cover it.  When one of my pets has gone in for something other than a yearly physical, one of his staff will call within 48-hours to see how they are doing and if I have any questions.  The staff are all nice, caring and professional, and Dr. Gibbs gives his complete attention to you and your pet no matter how long it takes for you to have piece of mind before he leaves the room.  I don't feel from him what I was feeling from my old vet.  My old vet seemed to want to rush through the exam, not stay and answer questions even pointed to the Vet Tech and said if you have any questions she can answer them then he was out the door.  NOT Dr. Gibbs,  he will not leave until he knows you are satisfied, have no more questions, and understand the course of treatment, if any, he has suggested and you agree to.  I can't say enough good things about this office/clinic, they are just wonderful and very reasonably priced.  You know you are in a place that truly loves animals and will do all they can to help them.

Dr. Gibbs is so good with the animals as well as their overly protective parents. His knowledge combines good common sense with the latest in veterinarian care. This combination is not lost on his staff. I would recommend Vet Care and Dr. Gibbs for anyone looking for a great vet and center.

Took my dog in to have surgery on her hip. By the time the weekend came she was in really bad shape I called and left several messages begging and pleading for someone to call me back within 4 days of having surgery there I had to take her to an emergency vet where she had to be put down. Her organs were failing, her blood work was awful. We finally figured out doctor Gibbs cell phone number and texted him the only thing he texted back was we don't have good cell service now her blood work was fine before surgery.  We told him she was fading fast and that we were having to put her down he did not text or call any more that night or the next day.  The original quote that was given for the surgery had a low estimate of $1100 a high estimate of $1400 he ended up charging us over $1700 for the hip surgery that ultimately killed our dog 4 days later. Not one phone call not 1 text he simply did not care.

Dr. Gibbs has been my vet for 20+ years. I know my dogs are in good hands and I trust him completely. His staff is aiways courteous, friendly and helpful.And Holly, my poodle, seems to enjoy going there! :)

Dr.Gibbs & his staff especially Emily are the most caring & compassionate people I've met in a long time! Yesterday I took my big 8 year old XXL BULLY to get neutered. I was scared to leave him because he's never been away from my family or I overnight. Emily (the  receptionist) reassured me that he was going to be fine, it was ok to cry & I can call to check on him at 4:30pm. When I called at 4:30pm I talked to a tech(forgot his name)who explained everything to me during surgery & recovery. He answered all my questions with great customer service! That made it a lot easier to sleep at night knowing he was in good hands. I then called this morning(5/24/17) at 7:30am & my furbaby was doing great as nothing happened! 10:30am I went & picked my big boy up. Dr.Gibbs explained aftercare treatment to me using examples to help understand more. I finally found my fur baby a new vet that I can trust with compassionate care!!!! I highly recommend to everyone.
