1 employee said hello when I first walked in. I didn't need her help right away and later that person was gone when I wanted to ask some questions. So I walked out and went to Ashley furniture in the next lot over. I like Ashley better and the prices were not much different.

I walked into the store with my wife, in search of our new living room furniture. Not only did we shop for over 15 mins with no one asking us what we were in search of in a nearly empty store..but we were followed to the clearance room by a consultant when we walked over to browse. Again we were not asked if we needed help with anything. The consultant was simply "keeping an eye" on us very obviously. My wife and I felt as if we had regressed to a bunch of 5 yrs Olds in need of baby sitting. Appalled, we then left the store and purchased our furniture from Ashley's next door. They were so generous when we bought our Barnwood bedroom set from them. However we figured we would give value city a chance. Huge mistake! Ashley is way better and treats their customers with respect

Went into the store to buy a queen mattress and bed frame. The sales person John was very nice and helpful. Put some money down and put the rest on a Value City Charge Card. The only problem was the new card number would not go through. The only lady in the finance office was on the phone talking to another customer. So John paged his manager Chris. Chris did not want to help out. After standing in line for almost 20 minuets Chris finally made a phone call to the bank to get the right account number. My experience with Value City Furniture 5/5 with John 0/5 with Chris he did not even apologize for my wait .

If you really want a better and lasting furniture, you had better stay clear away from this store. They claim to sell furniture but in reality, it's all junk after few uses out of them. Also, the "operation manager". name Phillip seems to be unaware of store policies and yet calls himself a Manager. You just don't have a "manager" behind your name and be so dumb and even rude to customers. He is pathetic and very rude to customers, calling people names. He is a BIG FOOL!!! I bought over $2000 furniture and they all fell apart after a year. I had to battle between the store and the warranty company because no one wants to take responsibility. Keep in mind, i did pay for extension of warranty for 5 additional years and yet they kick you back and forth once you have problems. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else where your business is appreciated and where you can buy something you'll enjoy the use despite how much you spent.
