After buying a used pick up truck I went in hoping to get an exception sticker. They told me that my truck was leaking in 3 different places and suggested I go home and don't drive it at all because it wasn't safe to be on the road. They estimated that it would be a 1700 job to get the gas line replaced. so I went to a different place weeks later to find out there was only 300 worth of work needed and only one gas leak. Not sure where the gas was spilling or if this was a miracle but be careful with any advice they give you. Don't go to another mechanic repeating what they say. I have gone there other times and they were helpful and friendly, so I am hoping this was a mistake off of quick judgment EDIT after reading similar reviews to mine you lost two stars. I will not be returning. Where have all the honest good people gone who want to make honest money? Sad

Everything in negatives reviews is true. Here's how they work, when you come for oil change or state inspection, they offer you bunch of services that you don't need, if you reject to change fluids($89), filters($20 something) and buy Valvoline brand superfancy injector cleaner for 21 bucks which you can buy for a dollar in a Dollar Tree store, then they will find a good reason for inspection failure like windshield and other windows tint which they never going to show you how they checked it. It used to be good place to get served but not anymore. Stay away to save $21.

Not a good place for NY State inspection plus they very slowl there. I use them 3 times - same thing every time I get there. Won't use it anymore too slow . 45 min to change oil and inspection than 45 min more hour to check if my number plate light working. For some reason they scratch my old inspection which one wasn't expire and I have to pay for it and get out from shop with out any inspection sticker

Went here to get an inspection since it is right next to my house. I was told my perfectly good working wiper blade would fail the inspection because it was "torn" (about 1/4 of an inch on one end). After he put a new one on the car the inspection failed for another reason. When I asked to have the old wiper blade put back on, he said he couldn't do that. Then when I asked to just have the old wiper blade back, he said it's in the garbage and the tab is broken because he broke it taking the blade off the car. I've never had a good experience at this Valvoline and will not be going back there ever again. If you like poor customer service and having money taken from you, this is the place for you. Have your car serviced here at your own risk.

I've been here several times for a NYS inspection. The staff is thorough and efficient. The location is a little cramped, but convenient enough to make it worthwhile.
