Needed a new refrigerator. Shopped around and found the best price here. We liked the prices so well we bought the matching gas stove and Microwave. Now we have a beautiful matching set at a great price. Salesman wasn't pushy. He let us make our decision. I will buy here again.

Mike took care of our needs and insured that our buying experience was outstanding. The delivery and setup was professionally done and all of our questions were promptly answered. The warehouse people I dealt with were fast and knowledgeable for a quick in and out appliance pickup. It was good to find out that the business is still family owned and keeps our dollars in the local economy. When we look for appliances or furniture again we will surely be looking to Vanvreedes for guidance! Thanks,Mike!

Pretty dissatisfied with my recent experience. For starters, I had a mattress ordered at a different store, all set for delivery in a few days (end of August). We stopped at Van Vreedes to order the bedroom set since we liked the one there better, and our sales associate told us he could match and beat the price on our mattress. Okay great, we could still cancel the other order since it didn't arrive, and then everything would be from the same store. After we had (naively) trusted the associate, we canceled the other order and came back. He fought us on beating the price and then informed us we would have to wait another week and a half for delivery. But whatever, that was our bad for canceling the other order before getting anything in writing here. Then, they changed our delivery date without informing us, and stopped over a weekend we were out of town. I came home to missed calls and voicemail asking where I was, that the delivery guys were at our home but we weren't there. After getting the run around between store and warehouse and the "generous" offer of waiving a second delivery fee, we had the date scheduled... Another week and a half. Had I kept my original order from the first store, we would have had our mattress three weeks earlier. Not only that, the manager who was supposed to call me back never did. No compensation for all the hassle or extra waiting, no courtesy call until I made the effort, and meanwhile my wife and I are losing sleep because we weren't planning to be sleeping without a mattress as long as we had to. A few more weeks passed and we finally received the bedroom furniture, of course that wasn't a great experience either. There were a few imperfections, most of which were eventually addressed (one of which, two and a half months later, still has not). And my favorite, the foot board which came with the wrong pre-drilled holes was "fixed" by just drilling some new holes alongside the existing (and then drilling a third pair of holes when the guy didn't measure properly and still had it off). I would not recommend shopping at Van Vreedes.
